its possible to kill the khezu with a katana or a great sword, i killed it with a ceanatuar blade and my friend just used shark katana idnt remember the name but it was upgraded 3x only

i may be wrong when i say this, but a tutorial on how to use G-rank equipment to kill a village khezu isnt that helpfull... all i can say is use something with fire if you can. i use longsword and the best way i know not to die is to use triangle + circle + dodge on legs often untill he falls then use whatever combo and possibly spirit till it gets up and repeat. when he shoots lightning from his mouth, triangle + circle + triangle-circle and if ur still too close, evade. almost no risk to fight

this is not the easyest way. i killed it in under 20 sec. with akantor blades,heroics and adrenaline+2 and a power seed. 4 dd and it died!

@TriHunters well you can get the wyvrn blade fall which is a fire type weapon. its from rathalos

Here's what you do with that katana.

1:upgrade it to the next level of sword(can't remember the name but there's only one option)

2:upgrade that new sword to "Iron Katana -Gospel"

You'll immediately notice that your hits aren't playfully bouncing off his flabby hide now.
