In the film a bear has to be normal and needs to be from Russia and a koala needs to be from Australia

You're 100% correct. The Avatar world has no China, Japan or Korea in it. It is fiction. But think about it. Lord of the Rings has no "Europe" in it, yet pretty much all the characters are caucasian. How do we know this? Culture - the Elves are so Nordic and Celtic it'd be ridiculous NOT to cast European actors.

Similarly, in Avatar, the culture, architecture, religion is ALL ASIAN AND INUIT. It just wouldn't make sense to have white actors playing the characters.

This is going to be ridiculous. Aang is too young and serious. The movie showed only the dark side of the series, I didn't catch anything funny. That's what draws people to the series: The funny antics. I didn't see that here.

I just hope that they do more then one movie as it is imposible to put the whole story into one and if they do so its probably gonna miss logic or fail to follow the intend of the original serie. By looking at these previews it give me hope that they indded intend on a serie as they mostly show battle in the northern pole which is in the first season and many character are missing.

On another note, i really do hope that Saka is gonna be as dumbass as he is in the serie ^^.

On the second part, it's Sokka :P And he will be more mature as it is live action so it'll be more realistically mature and series. Sokka might still be the fall guy who no one believes if he is suspicious about something but he won't be a loser. He'll be the older bro who takes care of her, is a bit sexist and skeptical. Just like Aang will probably be cheerful sometimes rather than a complete goof!

Appa is in the Super Bowl Trailer. Him and Momo are also in the toy line for the film. They were confirmed to be mechanicals and CGI animated a while back. So far you've seen a few seconds of each clip and each clip is identical to the on in the animated series so if there is no comedy in the trailer it's not easy to judge the full film without clips from the show that actually had comedy.

Plus, I friend of my mom's more interested in the film than cartoon. She can take the film seriously.

Sorry but to be honest, there's so much the movie is going to miss. That happened in the like 4 - 5 season show. But yeah the CGI's are what make it look badass, and as long as the acting is great then I will be happy to see them do this. But you can't lie they're going to miss A LOT!

Honestly, I still see the characters nomatter what their skin looks like and I'm glad I'm seeing multiple kinds! I think it's better than just all white AND better than all Asian. At most I wish they'd make two version it'd be interesting but that'd cost a LOT of money o.O What if Mike and Bryan really liked it? cuz you know they already saw it XD

The effects are good, the voices are good. The skills are good and it looks like the acting will be good. It'll be GREAT X3

Sorry but your only looking at the graphics of the movie and what it looks like, you can't judge based just on appearance. At least their going to make it more serious and realistic. instead of living in a happy fantasy tale. I mean still the movie is going to be fantasy but at least they're going to act like grown ups. Pretty bad! Scene settings appear too cartoonish. And this trailer fails to allow me to capture the Asian concept seen in Nickelodeon's TV series. I seem to grasp the "I see" theme of Shyamalan all over again... this time it's "I see well-fed white people" in ancient Asian culture!
