Here is what is crazy. I went to visit my brother in "Elmira" NY, and on our drive to "Watkins Glen" we drove through a small town just like this one called "Bath NewYork"! So clearly it is a real town. Why they did not film it in that town is beyond me. I'm from Cape Canaveral Fl, but i really loved upstate New York. It was like visiting "Mayberry". Ppl who live in that area, and are raised in that area are very lucky indeed. My brother says he will NEVER return to Florida.

Robert Russo creates these wonderful upstate towns in his great novels. 'Nobody's Fool,' is written in the third person and this film is so loyal to the book that you'd swear that Bath really existed.

I loved Paul Newman in this role. And Bruce Willis is great too. I 'saw' each of them when I read the book.

The characters are well fleshed out in this movie and the script is everything you could ever wish it were. I don't remember the last time I had so much fun watching the movie. From this director comes another awesome movie soon... I am waiting for this on kòòkica!

The part where he reminisces about his abusive Father at the steps of his abandoned childhood home was by far the best scene in this movie. I suppose it just came so close to hitting home with my childhood experiences. Paul Newman was a class act, no doubt about it. He drew feelings out of us that we may have forgotten ever existed.

A great movie, vintage Newman. The rest of the cast also gives outstanding performances as well from the more noted supporting actors such as Willis, Griffith and Tandy down to the smaller parts such as the druggist, the barmaid, the chief of police, etc. This is one role Newman should have one best Actor for, if not others earlier in his career prior to 'The Color of Money'.

I saw them film the sidewalk scene. It was great! One of the ladies accross the street thought it really snowed and she started sweeping her sidewalk.

The Movie Niagra, Niagra with Henry Thomas (Elliot of ET) was also filmed partly here at the Dutchess Mall and The Poughkeepsie Galleria. Ir was also filmed at the hotel near the Fishkill Cemetary.

Nobody's Fool was filmed in my town Fishkill NY and our neighboring city/town Beacon. The scene where Sully drives up on the sidewalk and hits the cop is walking distance from where I live. I drive down the street everyday, although not on the sidewalk. LOL.

I saw them film the scene as well. It was a nice sunny fall day and the film crews turned the street into a winter wonderland with dnow machines and all.

Yes indeed! A friend of mine used to work at Pizza 'n' Stuff across the street.. I remember when it was Ms Cozy Corner and then eventually Medicap - and yes it's now been vacant well over a year.

The "Syrup Chugging Contest" scene in "Super Troopers" was also filmed in Ms Cozy Corner - and all the highway scenes were shot on the Taconic State Parkway.

The scene where Sully drives the truck on the sidewalk was right around the corner on Broadway St. - across from the Blodgett Library.

This movie was filmed all over the area where I live. A few scenes were even shot around the corner from my house (The "Up yours, Raymer!" scene, for example). I was only about 4 or 5 years old when they shot it, but I still remember my mom taking me to see the set and everything like it was yesterday.

R.I.P. Paul Newman - we've lost one of the greatest actors of our time.

For me it was Newman's best performance...a subtle and indepth natural character study. Paul Newman's craft was acting. His passion was racing. His love was his family and friends. And his heart and soul were dedicated to helping make the world a better place for all. A good and decent man. R.I.P.
