Actually, this was the inspiration for Sleeping Beauty castle in the movie and later for the Sleeping Beauty Castle in Disneyland in California. The Cinderella castle was then a larger and more intricate remake of the Sleeping Beauty Castle. Just wanted to clarify. Thanks for the video!
@AndyGarcia82 It's also ironic that Disney died before he could see Disney World finished the way Ludwig II died before he saw Neuschwanstein finished. The big coincidence is that they both brought tourism to their respective areas.
When most peoplethink of Germany, this is one of the first things that comes to mind, and for good reason, it's a beautiful castle with beautiful surroundings
I'm glad that Chitty Chitty Bang Bang saved Grampa Potts from the "Notorious Baron Bomburst, ruler of Vulgaria, ze most Evil man en za world." from that place. " He's awful, he's terrible, and not only that, he's not even nice." Yep, I know it's a fantastic castle: Probably the best castle / home ever built. I'm 39: tell that to a kid who watches the movie how great the palace is...
I love it. Your video is wonderful. Thank you. =^.^=
If you ever do go, stay at the Hotel Muller. You get views of the Hohenschwangau Castle (where King Ludwig II grew up)
and the Neuschwanstein Castle. It is very majestic. Words cannot describe you have to experience in person. Most def. the most beautiful castle in Germany. The Residence in Wurzburgh Germany is a close second.
i went in march of 2008, there was snow on the ground and the weather was excellent. the temp was a perfect 32 degrees fahrenheit or 0 celsius degrees.
Most beautiful thing I'd ever laid eyes on...
