I have a 2002 kTm 640 Adv and have done over 40000km. Bike great but needs to be upgraded. Not big diff from 02 - 08. Still waiting for the promised 690 Adv. I live kTm and know they have lost massive oppertunity for sales even down here in S.Africa. Why discontinue product if you dont have replacement? Not everbody wants big, heavy and expensive 990. Wake up Austrians !
@spazmoso they need to bring it too Canada as well. I have a Yamaha XT600 with 62,000 kms (39,000 miles) on it and all i've done is routine maintainance (oil..etc) Yamaha has just announced that the Super tenere will be available here in Canada in 2012. Not really my cup of tea, and its funny the 660 hasn't yet made its debut here in North America.
@KendrickMcMurphy I'm surprised both models haven't made it to North America. Both bikes are great, but surprisingly I like the Super Tenere the best. It is amazingly nimble for its size.
