wow every post is right. people get hooked by these 3rd party installers and then when there are maintnence problems its ADT's fault. ADT only "MONITORS" the system. it was your choice to respond to the ad in the paper by joe schmoe security. have the install done by professionals not hacks
Oh btw cuz your 61 doesn't mean the company will drop everything to run to you just cuz your 61, I hate when old people use that excuse, should I get preferred service because I am fat?? NO thats the logic your using here.! Here is what you do to get this resolved call, ask nicely, and I am sure someone will help you. Most alarm issues tend to be user error, the more you scream and be dramatic the less likely you will be heard. That goes for any issue you when you deal with customer service!
Firstly, read your contract! It will state this is an authorized dealer and NOT ADT nor is it installed by ADT. ADT often just monitors the account- yes there are some very bad dealers, but that being said wasn't it your decision to proceed with the installation? While I have sympathy for your medical issues stop using that as the reason you are not getting service cuz I can gaurentee that isnt a factor. TAKE RESPONSABILITY FOR YOUR DECISIONS & dont blame others!! Your 61 act like it!!!
The problem here was they needed an alarm DSL filter. Without, it disables the phone service. The first 90 days its the dealers responsibility to fix problems and after ADT corp does. That is why ADT said to call their dealer. Little problems like this the sales rep needs to get involved. Its a quick go back. Reps need to learn more then just sales pitches and take ur job more serious! I never have problems with my customers because I'm thorough and know everything about what I am selling.
What you guys signed up for was not even adt at all. What you did is had a unprofessional flyby authorized dealer install an alarm who sold your alarm contract to adt for about $200-$300 for monitoring. Who you need to call is 1-800-ADT-ASAP For corporate so you can tell how bad that authorized dealer is. By the way no matter how much defender told you the system value is the real value is about $150.
