  • I agree shannon 4681...either drummer works but thinkin shannon and sully jus flow a lil better 2gether...they have the same style when it comes 2 the duel drummin...and they took it 2 another level. been in luv w/this band since their self-entitled cd and got the sun tramp stamp after their 3rd cd...cuz i knew then..these guys will always b my fav!!! own every cd they ever made and been 2 every show involved w/every new cd...godsmack rulez and will continue 2 WoW us for many yrs 2 follow. :()

  • Sounds a little like Would?

  • @AiCMastertracks a liitle bit but not so I think Would is more heavier :)

  • LMS if you lissined in 2011

  • unbelievable,perfect vocals,awesome riffs!!

  • Godsmack #1. Been my favorite since Keep Away. And this is another good one. Keep it going Godsmack. Seeing you live was a true and worthy experiene.

  • Out of 400 people i can tell that 7 of them are just dumb.

  • Who cares where they stand on their beliefs it's just great music!!!! I'm 43 yr old and I've never seen it so bad that everyone worries about someone elses beliefs instead of enjoying their life and all that is offered to them. You won't go in a restaurant if they serve a menue you don't like so why do you come into these posts you don't like? Another example of someone wanting to shove their nose into a place it doesn't belong. GET A REAL LIFE and stay out of everyone elses DICKHEADS!!!!!!

  • tommy or shannon, godsmack is the best!!!!

  • anchorage,alaska on the 6th

  • i like their harder ones, keep away, i stand alone, straight out of line, cryin' like a bitch, i fucking hate u, but their soft ones arent close to my favorites, cryin' like a bitch is a fucking good ass song

  • Talent at it's finest.

Definitely the most mis-labeled, misunderstood bands around.

There is nothing "Satanic" or "devil worshipping " about this band .

On the contrary, their lyrics scream of spirituality, if anything. A perfect example of being judged by a "name" alone.

I appreciate, respect and admire!! They are a gift to anyone who will stay opened.

  • @44prot while not "Satanic" or "devil worshipping," Sully Erna at least is a self-proclaimed Wiccan, and is thus a pagan. Not necessarily a bad thing by any means, just food for thought.

  • @dsaine19 well if that's true, it explains why the spiritually is so prevalent. Not many are more truly spiritual and speak it so clearly as those who are of the practicing Pagan traditions

  • amazing!

  • the red bar is like Lady gaga's penis, small and unnecessary...

  • Awesome live!!!!!!

  • Love this

  • if u disliked it that means u want sully to leave the band...damm dude

  • COME TO EUROPE PLEASE!!!!!!

  • fantastic!!! lovw godsmack so much - the lyrics are amazing

  • the who disliked gtfo if you agree thumbs up

  • is it just me or does the guy on the far left at 1:04 look like Daniel Tosh

  • @Casterwaster yea he does look like daniel tosh

  • Godsmack: "what if I breathe could I still pee?"

  • Godsmack is one of the last few GREAT Heavy Metal bands and this song is a testament as to why. Man there is so many cookie cutter pieces of shit post-grunge/Hard Rock/Alternative Metal/Metalcore bands nowadays. What happened to good music whether it was alternative rock, Metal, Hard Rock etc.. this band along with Disturbed and maybe two or three others that make powerful, interesting, simple music that just happens to get on the radio when bands like A7X, and Three Days Grace are radio CRAP.

  • @EthanFaust i agree..........disturbed

  • @TheFoster06 Yea.. English in Slovakia. sure... :D \m/

  • robbie is such n underrated bassest hes turely fucking amazing.

  • I'm sorry. All I can hear when I read this title is Scott Stapp's voice. "What if, what if, what it, what if I!"

  • maaaan... 5:34 ....amazing drums...just...no words at all...i am blown away!

  • a quand le concert

  • When I heard that they were steering away from their softer offerings, I was disappointed. Some of their older songs have had the lyrical qualities of 'roid rage, but Serenity was thoughtful and deep by comparison. Cryin' Like a Bitch is good, but in the roidy category, and so I thought, more of the same... but then I heard Love-Hate-Sex-Pain and What If, and I am impressed. The music is harder, the lyrics are deeper, and their effort and talent are well apparent.

  • @suicidelucifer Couldn't have said it better myself. I love the softer, deeper, sadder side of Godsmack as well as the heavy shit! GODSMACK FTW

  • some people got replased.

the guy with the bandanna was lead but in 1995, his old girlfriend told him about a son he never knew he had so he left the band before there first album (1998) and then the guy in the blue vest was drummer and he left in - - - - im not sure what year and he left because ---------------------------- I dont know why he leffed.

  • Great music without having to deal with vevo! :D hell yea!

  • one of the best songs on the album

  • Alice? Not a remote similarity. Alice was f ing great. Godsmack is f ing great.

  • i dnt know aic or wat they sing and dnt care GODSMACK RULES

  • This is a kick ass song! Fuck all ya who think they rip off AIC! This is a song woman like me can rock to!

  • @xdevilxmayxcryx go back to the kitchen u ignorant bitch

  • @xdevilxmayxcryx Was a good song until you mentioned the word "woman". You don't have rights, shut up.

  • Fukn A... what If!

  • What ever everybody, Sully is just hot...

  • I LOVE mp3iffy it WORKS just google mp3iffy.

  • I love Godsmack! They out did them self's in this album!

  • evvery time i got to get thsi album it's sold out damn ppl lol good for godsmack though

  • this song is amazing....

I know that I am forever haunted by those 2 words.....what if.

  • It's like part II of "Mistakes"

  • why do they adapt tuning to alice in chains...? i mean are they doing their music or someone elses? i respect them being fans of that band but metallica's influence were bands that sounded nothing like metallica... kinda disrespectful

  • Rocks....... :) ! Just like the holly cow!

  • BAD ASS!!! Godsmack has always been one of my favorite bands!!! i was born in 81 and grew up on 80's metal, along with Led zepplin,DIO,Boston, heart etc......ALL of which i still listen to today! theres a handfull of bands i like from todays era....GODSMACK being Number 1!!!!! FUCKING EPIC SONG AND EPIC ALBUM!

  • Good old Godsmack!Yeah ;)

  • now THIS is godsmack, so far ive listened to almost every song, and only this,& good day to die sound like the godsmack i admire.

    i hope the other songs:

    the oracle

    love-hate-sex-pain

    & i blame you

sound liek the old godsmack ^_^

  • godsmack rocks go godsmack! they will never die...

  • very good

Bardzo Dobry Klimat Grunge Forever !!!!

  • I totally agree with you serws. I don't even want to taint this page with any more talk of that abomination. It's a pretty close race for which one I like more, this or the new Bullet For My Valentine album Fever, I defanently reccomend checking it out!

  • can't lie TheWhodey5150, nirvana shouldn't be on that list at all, period. How dare you compare godsmac, zep, sabbath to that of the mucus that nirvana hocked out of their mouth and called music...

  • long live godsmack

  • Check out our website for The Oracle's review and much more in technology, games, movies, and music.

  • Wasn't a big fan of Love-Hate-Sex-Pain, but this is some pretty good shit right here. To me this song seems like it took a little more time, energy, and thought. Godsmack, for me, is just one of those bands that you have to pick apart and create your own playlist based on what you like, because in most of their albums they have songs that are played in different mind frames. Except "Faceless," that album was pretty monotone.

  • @Minacious what you talking about faceless is by far the best and the heaviest Godsmacks cd ...and is by far totalli diferent from all their cds

  • @martynaviles Yeah, different in the fact that it was repetative and completely sucked. Awake is their best CD, IV is a close second.

  • great intro...this one has a toolish vibe, which is obviously a compliment.....love the new album!

  • @TheAlexAnderson1 I agree dude!Huge Tool fan myself....

  • this song is ok, only 3 songs of this one i even like the instrumental being favorite. I wish they would have grown the style more but its kinda the same mix of the first and second cd. which had they never been released would be a different story but they were so idk...i had always hoped they become more tribal metal and be really different.

  • @Spawn08th that is what they wanted to do..go back to how they use to play

  • There new albums is amazing love all the tracks. I don't feel this band gets as much attention as they deserve. The bassist is very talented. The bass intro to the song is pretty damn awesome.

  • Robbie's bass intro sounds fucking evil!!! ^_^

  • @hentajus Epic rolling bassline!

  • i think i'm definitely gonna grab this and the oracle off of itunes, awesome songs

  • !!! wow !!!

  • The Smack is back, now to find a needle...

  • The sweet smell of Godsmack!!!! Number 1 all the way next week!!!!

  • The into is simply ear-gasmic.

  • can't wait to see em in august with STP gonna be an amazing day :D

  • When did Geoff Tate start singing for Godsmack? Man, if Sully hasn't earned his singing chops yet, he sure as hell did on this album. What a voice.

  • long live godsmack

  • whoo godsmack thank gosh yall are back we have been going to long without your music

  • Aww man. Love the bass in the beginning. The entire intro is just freakin epic.

    Godsmack= Epic Metal Band

  • i love the sound of shannon's new oak custom set

sounds better than any other album by godsmack

  • The Oracle is a great album lot of good songs

  • Re: MonsterMetalMusic I live in the Boston area and he was on the local Rock station here WAAF doing an interview and the DJ asked him about this song and he said its about the thoughts he was having trouble with back in '05 even before they produced IV and he said it was a journal entry he formed into a song

  • godsmack is my faviorte band of and always will be through thick and thin

  • Not sure if people may know this or not but this song is written by Sully about the thoughts he had of possibly leaving the band.

  • @Evilshorns13 Just curious but where did you hear that? After reading your comment and listening to the song again i can see how it might make sense.

  • @MonsterMetalMusic 107.3 WAAF in Boston,MA had Sully on for a interview. He took over the station for about an hour to showcase Oracle....When the song came up. Mike Hsu, the DJ at the time asked him the question. Sully said yes and that not even the band knew.

  • @DiesIrae1102 The band more or less knew what was troubling him as he said they have a very open relationship with one another. when he was in this dark place in 2005 that he talks about being in even before they produced IV he was strongly considering walking away and just being a father to Skyler. However, its not like any one would blame him for choosing that over music but it was his love of being in the band that made him come back .

  • @MonsterMetalMusic Listen to the lyrics. It's all in there....talks about making tough choices early on, success, (assumed)animosity within the band, and asking if he would do alright beyond Godsmack. I haven't read anything about this though, but it seems to me he's either talking about leaving the band, or his wife!

  • @MonsterMetalMusic an interview with Sully himself.

  • @MonsterMetalMusic you can tell he's talkin about it. first thing he said was been coonnected for so long listen ;)

  • @MonsterMetalMusic To be honest I think hes right, the chorus says stuff like "What if I leave could I still breath? And if I leave could I be me?" Your boys are your life right? And also the intro "Been disconnected for so long." And also the bit... "I lost all hope along the way." All a bunch of feelings..

  • @xXxJarrydxXx Sully always writes about his feelings.

I wish I could feel the same as he does... Love him so much.

  • @MaryShagrath Well its great to see a girl listen to metal. Utmost respect.

  • @xXxJarrydxXx ^^ thanks. But here aren't any other girls who listen to metal? :-?

  • @MaryShagrath there are!

I think Godsmack's The Oracle album is great, but the best is Awake and Faceless I think. Its only my opinion. Godsmack isn't worse than when they started.

  • @MaryShagrath -raises hand- Me!

  • @MonsterMetalMusic i heard that on webn, bout two yrs ago

  • @Evilshorns13 yeah i knew that one of my local radio stations had a radio take over with god smack and sully talked about what this meant it was very interesting and well just cool !!!

  • @Evilshorns13 I dun think Sully thought about leaving the band, I believe he was talking about the length of time it took to finally create another album...NO Sully, NO Godsmack, just don't think dats possible!!!!

  • @cyberinch Google the interview he did with WAAF during a radio take over where the DJ asks him where this song "what if" came from and he talks about why he wrote it and frankly if he wanted to leave for the reasons he stated in the interview his daughter Skyler being one of them hey more power to him.

  • @Evilshorns13 no no no no no no no no no..

    it's impossible!

He wouldn't write it about leaving the band, cause it's a greatest part of his life

  • @MaryShagrath It really was something he was strongly considering, Sully was in a very dark place in 2005 this song "what if" was written back before they produced IV and said it was originally a private journal entry but once the guys saw it they encouraged him to put it on the next album.

  • @Evilshorns13 dude if sully leaves I'll be pissed. Godsmack isnt Godsmack without his voice.

  • @DonkeySyrup I agree 100% but this song isn't about a girl or about such long breaks in between albums like some think it is. After all its not so much the other guys in the band as it is Sully who wants the breaks I mean the guy has a daughter he wants to be around and hes exploring other types of music with his solo album and hes a huge poker enthusiast. Godsmack may be the one of the greatest things in his life but he doesn't want it to be the only thing in his life.

  • buying this for sure

  • @CyberAbyss me to i love it

  • sounds like there oldest stuff..i like this!

  • Godsmack is like the ulitimate badass band. I have never been let down by them. If you havent you gotta see them live. I love Godsmack.

  • they need heavier breakdowns like in their song awake

  • I think their older stuff is alot better!!!!!!!!!!!!Awesome band still though!!!!!!

  • Its like "Spiral" or "Trippin" more than Voodoo. Great!

  • HORNZ UP HIGH ~ ^II^

  • 'i thought they wasn't no voodoos on this new album

  • hell yeah!!! \m/ welcome back Godsmack!!! :D I pretty much gave up on them after IV, I was so disappointed, but this song is pretty damn awesome. Still not as good as their stuff on Awake, but even though they're not my fav band anymore, I have to credit them with being my gateway band into metal since now I listen to Lamb Of God and Tool, and I will still be buying this album after hearing this song!!! <3

  • Even this band is at 2nd place (right behind Disturbed) for me, I'm not satisfied with their new material. Their possibilities are way beyond this ... I expected something new ... maybe experimental things. Don't get me wrong, I will listen these songs but ... This was already seen in their previous records. They said that this will be their biggest, heavy record with no 'serenity-s'. Naaaaaaat!

  • @MAGGOTmedia They experimented on their last album, and look how fans reacted to that. Just saying, people are never pleased.

  • They are the fucking best ever!!!!

  • Hell yea this band makes life way better...From May4th till who knows when, i will have nothing but the Oracle in my cd player!!

  • meh one of those once in a while songs i play, not the greatest.

  • the ultimate question my friends.....

    what if!!

  • IV was an immense album, and i will have to hear the whole of Oracle to see if they have topped it, which they have done on every album up to that point , as the album isn't getting a UK release, i will have to import it sadly :-(
