Rare to see a Powerstroke running those numbers. Much more common to see a 5.9 or 6.6, especially on the pull circuits. Sounds like a fun truck to drive though and at least it's a 7.3 (the only PSD I actually like).
@zapityzapzap its about the max its gonna go, to get those kinds of numbers he had to completely redesign the fuel system, the Heui injection system, which is what the stock 7.3s have, is maxed out around 600 or 650 hp

@MovieFreak1014 don't do that in a mechanical injected engine as it will kill the injection system really quick. it's not near as bad in a di electronic injection, but still not the best for it. stick to diesel kleen or similar products.

theres heaps of diesels around running gas. they mix the gas and diesel together and make heaps of power. just gota watch how much gas you put in or they go bang

@manofmagic64 the number of valves per cylinder multiplied by the number of cylinders... for a turbocharged diesel engine, it's not of significant importance to have more than one intake valve since the air is forced in. For normally aspirated engines it can help.

Even a honda 4 cylinder gas engine can make upwards of 800 horsepower (modified). Cummins is a horrible design to begin with. In stock config, powerstroke kills cummins (unmodified).

In the end they dumped it for an even more complex K series engine that is incredibly complex, with camshaft phasing as well as variable valve timing. Technology sucks in that regard, but it's the government's fault. They want the engineers to continually press efficiency to the point of mad science.
