It is so funny that you mention that @hometube79,Alot of people from the islands(Carribbeans).........Came especially to Charleston aound the time of slavery as slaves themselves....My great Grandfather is from the Bahamas,My greatgrandmother is cherokee indiand and my grandfather is south african.....Yes this is how we really sound and I always get asked if I am from Jamaica when I travel outside of home be cause of how I sound

I'm African American (not Gullah) and/but I don't know that song.. I'm interested in learning more about it also.
