  • wow!

  • Can we swap hair please :)

  • @CastinCouchnCatwalk You want to... Let's DO it!

  • @makingfamous Lol I wish

  • @CastinCouchnCatwalk anyone can do it... i never thought i could... but my hair is longer and healthier then this.. better then it has ever been in my adult life... i just followed a few simple rules... and learned a few techniques...

  • @makingfamous How did you get it like that? Like what rules did you follow? Can you inbox me please. Because my hair is SOOOOOOOOOOO damaged right now that if I even go near it with a straightner, it will probably all fall out. I had to cut my hair really short because of the damage, but it's still breaking and dry...and brittle :S

  • Did you do anything to your hair like relaxing it before you started straightening?

  • @MsSugarlips21 my hair is relaxed... i relax it 3 times a year...

  • Is yur hair shorter then it used 2 B?

Cuz usually I just straiten my bangs but i think the iron is burning my hair off.

  • @alexasy4 ~now... no... at the time... this was "longer" hair for me... It did eventually break off... I believe from too much heat exposure, and not enough moisture... Now I only flat iron, maybe once a month, or twice if I have to do something or go somewhere that requires it.... It might be burning off your bangs.. How often do you flatiron?

  • ur pretty

  • @BeautyQueen07100 ~you think so... Well thank you!

  • @varietyfan505 ~as far as whether or not they make hair grow... I still like grease on my scalp to promote growth.... but not so much on my ends....

  • @varietyfan505 ~honestly idk... because I had plenty of hair when i was using heavy greases like blue magic...I think it can totally depend on the type of hair you have and how healthy it is.... I know plenty of ppl on their hair journey who use grease to seal in moisture... but I also know that improper use can dry the hair out... I have a few greases that have topical agents in them that increase growth... I guess it all really depends on the product....

  • wow ur hair is beautiful !

  • @butterflyb1996 Thank you dear.

  • dayummmmmmmmmmm yu have GORGEOUS Hair! My Hair is THICK BUT It Ain Got NOTHING On Yourss! <3 It Hunn!

  • @AlinaBrown93 ~Thanks You dear...Good LUCK! and Happy Brithday!

  • i thought sulfates r realli bad for ur hair. cuz it strips the nutrients from ur hair

  • @JazzieKrazi ~yeah.... thats what they say... i don't really use products with sulfates in them anymore...

  • @makingfamous yea cuz my mom was telling me that even though i never used them. i use tea tree oil it's realli good for the hair

  • Hey. I am a boy with long boy hair, and I want to straighten mine. Is there any way to make it look sort of like a manly straight hair? Btw, your hair looks pretty. :D

  • @rjwarda ~ Thanks for the compliment, love... If i were you i'd wear it straight with little or no bend... you know just a really sleek straight look...

  • @makingfamous

    Okay. Thanks! :D

  • @ilovesmusic343 ~thanks....

  • gurl you so classy

  • @FootyforLife81600 ~lol... thanks!

  • did you blow dry your hair first or you just straightned it by the way your hair looks smooth and shiny

  • @SuperIslandgyal ~Is was blow dried then flat ironed...

  • wat kind of flat iron did u use

  • @siaty1 ~Andis 1 inch...can be found at wal-mart and target

  • is your hair permed?

  • @Mspeachbottom123 ~yes... I get 3-4 scheduled relaxers a year...

  • your hair is beautiful.

  • @1bocanada Thank You!

  • u said 4 passes was two much...but u did 4 passess

  • @candykissezz135 yes I did... I made this video back when I wasn't as educated about hair as I am now... It's really not a great guide for what you should and shouldn't do... it'll probably be coming down sometime soon...

  • grease is bad for the hair and it weighs it down try using a water based product or leave in conditioner when the hair is wet then blow dry it. good

  • is ur hair relaxed

  • @Jillian364 yes it is.

  • Are you mixed?!?!?!

  • @TheRealDealMegPajibo No... I don't consider myself mixed... I mean like one of my great grandparents was a native american... and like most black ppl in america, I'm sure there is some white blood running thru....

  • her hair was nice and silky...very cute!!!

  • @ninisyd101 Thanks love!

  • What kind of flat iron you have? I like your hair.

  • @TashaG16 Andis 1'...I got it from Target or Wal-Mart... probably Target...

  • Nice hair ;).

  • you dont need grease gurl! just use a little like a dime size of shine serum! Grease weighs your hair down and doesnt allow it to flow and move

  • @CierraKisses You're right... I don't use grease anymore... but I definitely need more then shine serum... You know grease never keep my hair from moving...I guess it's all in the amount you use...

  • @makingfamous yeahhh tha amount defidently lol :D

  • Your very pretty! :)

  • @TorqueBrooklyn Thanks Lover!

  • i want to get rid of my hair, i am a black guy that have to fight to pick out my afro hair an it hurts , help i want to straighten my hair

  • @Restarea11019V Well... if you are really having issues combing your natural hair you might want to invest in a good detangler... that you can use to loosed/soften your curls so that you can comb your hair with ease...

I use Mane & Tail detangler it's awesome...

    Hope that helps...

  • @makingfamous thanks, i will go look for it an buy it for my N word hair

  • I COULD DO A WAAAAAY BETTER JOB OF SHOWING PRODUCTS AND STRAIGHTENING <3333 COME TO MY PAGE AND REQUEST ITTT !

  • @sadeeebby Ha! I'm sure you could...

  • @makingfamous look at me . . .i can (: you put grease in your hair like not professional.

  • @sadeeebby lol! I wasn't being a smart ass... I'm sure you can... I don't claim to be a professional... If you would like I can put a link in my video for you if you would like...

  • How did you get your hair that long in the first place to be able to straighten it?

I see your black and all black women naturally have afros. Unless you must have used wild growth hair oil.

  • @exxtreem23 Well... I grew it... I just took care of it and it grew and i retained the length... Also all black women don't have afros... we as a ppl have a variety of hair textures... And at the time of this video I had no idea what wild growth oil was...and I still don't use it....

If you have any questions please feel free to respond...

  • Is it the one inch or one point five inch?

  • your hair is like natually shene.. nine is frizzy and tangled.. and it wont straighten right!!!

  • @kelbylovesspugs you probably need to switch up the products you are using... and add a few few more deep conditionings...and you should come away from the tangled frizziness....

  • you have good hair (:

    i love your videos<3

& i love how you randomly start singing.

    hehe.

  • @brittneestutorials thanks! and Thanks... I know I can help but sing randomly...

  • @brittneestutorials what exactly does "good hair" mean to you? easy managable hair? or "non-black" hair? for example white, hispanic, and asian?

  • @MzCloey16 oh...girl... I thought you was asking me...I was about to say hair that covers my head is good... cause technically if you use black ppl definitions of good hair...i don't have it...

  • @briannanadesuwa it could be a couple of reasons... but let me first say... mine isn't flawless either... nor would I want it to be... ok so it may be that you have shorter hairs in the crown of your head which may be from a variety of things...it could be that you shed more hair from the crown...or it could be that the hair isn't trained to lay down like you may want...

You probably could use a little non-greasy pomade or something to help smooth the hair down... HTH!

  • how did u get your hair so long?

  • @callmeblackmail96 Well at the time i just keep a lot of grease in my hair... i deep conditioned regularly...stretched my perms (i think i was about 14 weeks post relaxer in this vid....).... and i wore my hair in a bun if ponytail usually after the third day... then i'd wash between the 7th and 10th day... and do it all over again... Hope that helps...

  • Does sulfa 8 not burn your scalp?

  • good job i enjoyed short but sweet

  • @JZYD0LL thanks I figured no one need to watch me do the same thing over and over...so just the basics...

  • Does any1 know about Japanese thermal straighteners on AA hair? I'm mixed and I'm curious to know because just regular relaxers damage my hair and my hair is thick and curly

  • Your hair is soooo pretty and long! I was wondering if i wanted hair like really curley would a curley perm work on our kind hair?

  • @PatteeAngela a curly perm would work on our kind of hair... a jehri curl is a type of curly perm... but you should know that once you get a curly perm you cannot use relaxer over the curly perm...it will break your hair off...

  • lolol xD

  • Thank you so much!

  • Good Hair vid...and good job on bumpin that "I Am...Sasha Fierce" in the beginning, lol

  • Thanks!

  • u hav long pretty hair :)

  • im mixed and i get my hair relaxed buy your hair is so pretty great job

  • Thank you!

  • i thought grease burned hair?...

  • yeah...

    i guess it does...

but then again I would never flat iron my hair with nothing on it... so then what should i used? most moisturizers have oils in them...

But I don't use grease anymore... now i used natural oils... like coconut, olive, or castor...

and of course a heat protectant...

  • is your hair relaxed?

  • Yes Ma'am it is.

  • What iz ur iron brand plz ?

  • Andis... they sell them at both wal-mart and target

  • Looking good sister!!

    X Amsterdam

  • Thanks Hun!

  • you know what i think you look better with the hair striaght

  • i got a relaxer once but i think it s out . What makes your hair thin like that because when i do mine its thick.

  • Well...I am relaxed... that may have something to do with it... plus I use some oils and grease and I think that does it as well....

I find that when i don't use an oil or grease...it come out a little puffy.......

  • Dont you add heat protector?

And your hair is very nice

  • Thank You.... Now I use it ...but at the time I did this video I didn't...

But it makes a huge difference...

  • your hair is very pretty, greeat job!

  • Thanks Hunny Bunch!

  • what is the name of your hair straightner ??

  • Andis...it's from Wal-Mart...

  • i flat iron my hair EVERYDAY literally but i just use it to do touch up on the frizziness is that bad for my hair? annnd i am african

  • I'm a firm believer in the fact that things that work for me don't necessarily work for others....

But I think in the case of flat ironing everyday...I wouldn't... Just cause direct heat is very damaging to the hair...

I flat ironed my hair everyday...for awhile and my hair reacted horribly.... I think I ended up cutting two or three inches off by the time I was done with that...

Maybe you should look into curly styles that require less maintenance...

  • yes, it's bad. try to wrap your hair or embrace big styles until you can figure out how to keep it striaght

  • omg thank you cause ........... im challenged when it comes 2 using a flat iron on my hair rofl xD

  • I used to be challenged too...

    Just takes a little practice....

  • does your iron have a metal surface or plastic surface???...please tell me coz mine's plastic...and im not sure if it does work well

  • Your hair is so healthy and nice,

    Do you have a relaxer?

  • what kind of flat iron do you have?

  • Andis 1 inch ...

I got it from Wal-Mart I think...But they also have them at Target... ran about 20 dollars...

  • isn't it really bad to apply so much heat to your hair?

  • Yeah...

That's why I don't apply a lot of heat to my hair...

I use my flat iron way less now...

But my hair did just fine when I was flat ironing once a week...

  • what straightener do you use

  • You mean the flat iron?

    If so.. It's an Andis...

I think I got it from either Wal-Mart or Target...

  • i need you to hook my hair up gurl i need yo number or somthin cuz my hair never get dat straight not even with a perm

  • Girl...

Just a lot of practice and doing it for a while...

It also has a lot to do with technique...and the flat iron you have...

Try different ways, and you may discover that you can...

  • I feel you girl w hen I do my hair I be burning myself but I car as long as I get those roots! lol

  • Lol...

Yes Girl...The pain goes away... the straight roots stay...

  • you're hair is simply marvelous. good work.

  • Thanks...I take much better care of my hair now...

  • i like your hair it looks so healthy but how do you keep it smelling nice during the week i'm using the sulfur also but when i'm wearing it in my hair smells a bit strange.. and do you only apply it on your scalp or also in your hair

  • Um... My scalp smells like sulfur...

But if I don't use it... it usually smells strange...

If you really can't stand the smell...You should try the light formula....it comes in a light blue container...

I generally apply it only to my scalp....

  • waz yur hair permed or waz it natural n yuh jus blowdried it den str8tened it

  • It's relaxed...

    I was about 14 weeks post-relaxer tho...

  • thnx 4 the vid, helps alot

what products do u use... dnt leave out plz

  • Currently I'm using You Straight Heat Protectant...Sulfur 8...Organic Extra Virgin Coconut Oil....Extra Virgin Olive Oil...and Luster Pink Oil Moisturizer....and 100% Aloe Vera Gel for Ponytails...

  • ur hair is very beautiful but i wouldn't recommend using products with mineral oil, such as hair grease, because mineral oil clogs the pores of the scalp causing slow hair growth, scalp acne, and other scalp conditions. Also, mineral oil blocks moisture from penetrating the hair shaft so it actually dries out your hair. Lastly, mineral oil is carcinogenic which means that is has been proved to cause cancer. Just a suggestion!

  • Thanks for the tip, hun...

  • thank you! been looking for something for ever!

  • glad you like it...

  • get the grease froom wig store or beauty store. But wait family dollar sells that too doesnt it? blue magic better for striaghtening hair though. ( just know that form watching other folks)...This vid is awesome!

  • Yeah...

Recently I've stopped using Blue Magic...

I've switched to Extra Virgin Coconut Oil...

I still use my sulfur...And I have recently purchased a Heat protectant...

  • OMG. GIRL I LOVE IT!!!!! THANK YOU!!!!

  • Glad you enjoy...

  • wat other hair products do u use???

  • Elasta QP Mango Butter..."You Straight" Heat Protectant and Straightening Creme... Aloe Vera Gel... and Extra Virgin Olive Oil... Coconut Oil

  • your hair is so pretty

i wish i had hair like dat mi hair just get curly

  • Thanks...

I'm sure your hair is gorgeous!

  • is your hair natural? or relaxed? really cool vid! :)

  • thanks...

    I'm relaxed...

this video was about 15 post relaxer...

That's why I have so much curl...

  • I would like to purchase the andis flat iron do you know exactly what size is yours?

  • looks to be an inch....

  • where do u get the grease! i gota use that cause i agree the heatp rotectants dry out the hair!

  • the hair supply store...

you can get everything I used from there...

  • Hi I have similar hair, I was wondering what brand hair straightener you use. There are so many I am clueless which is best for my relaxed hair.

  • The one I have is Andis...I got it from Wal-Mart... I think it was like 20 bucks...

I like it a lot...I'm sure there are better ones...but it has held up for quite a while...

  • omg no heat protection!

  • GASP!

yeah... my flat iron really isn't that hot...plus most of the heat protection products leave my hair looking dry and feeling sticky...

  • ok...

  • Can you recommend any good ones?

I'm not opposed to trying something new...

  • my god....grease??? yuck you dont have to use that...use a good oil to your scalp. you might wanna use oil days before you prepare to flat iron....and dont use that on your hair...that is literally sizzling your hair. you should use a heat protectant like a spray or creme meant for heat...sulfur 8 will not do....pm if you are interested in the info...and wat flat iron is that?

  • I like my grease...

Ehh...I use it so I don't have to have the flat iron super hot...

Those sprays and stuff make my hair sticky and dry...

    It's an Andis...really good!

  • they have things similar to grease thats like a heat protectant pomade...you know....? just tryin to help...you are literally fryin your hair mama...they have smoothing products that loosing your curls and seal your cuticle for a smoother look and keeps your hair straight.

  • Thanks for Sharing, also!

  • welcome

  • this is awesome. how long does it usually take to straighten your whole head?

  • About 45 minutes to an hour...

    Thank you!

  • beautiful hair :)..

wow, mines only take around 7 minutes.

  • lucky girl...i've never had 7 minute hair...

  • lovely.

  • Thanks!

  • i have sulphur8 too n it stinks..

    i also use miracle gro.

&& i love radio by beyonce fierce lol

  • Yeah...it does...

But I have a very sensitive scalp...and somehow it helps...plus it makes your hair grow like crazy...one time i was using it and dr. miracles hot gro together... my hair grew like crazy....

  • i have andis. mine broke randomly though

  • Funny how that happens...

One of my friends flat iron did the same thing...it wasn't an andis tho....
