  • His helmet looks kinda like a pokeball.

  • did you really have to take your boots off?

  • @Krazer2100 My Aerostich Combat Touring boots are big, and can't fit through the leg. They are easy to get on and off, and best of all, have prevented my ankle from being crushed in multple accidents.

  • @AtlasRider well fair enough then

  • I want a ninja 250r for college... but I do not want to carry any protective gear t class... my biggest concern is the boots, would it be possible?

make a video if possible I want to go to school with regular clothing but yet wear all my safety gear.... oh boy...

  • @1shadowfang8 Check out a "Python" cable lock. I have a 15 foot length cable lock by Python and I use it to lock my bike, and loop it through my suit and helmet when I am in areas where theft is likely.

  • @AtlasRider thanks bro still thinking of buying a bike... might ride without boots unless there is a way to lock boots onto the bike somehow.. you should invent something like that man.... boots lock on your bike.... you could just tie shoes on there?hmm I know I can phyton the pants helmet and jacket but boots....

  • @1shadowfang8 There also is a steel mesh net bag by PacSafe. I used a rainproof Sealine bag (intended for kayaking) and would put the PacSafe net over the Sealine bag. You could put a pair of boots in there.

  • @1shadowfang8 ok if you get the right boots they are comfortable to walk in and not just ride in so that eliminates shoes. get a decent mid/summer weight jacket and just layer up and you wont have to have a bunch of gear. pants are up to you, i wear jeans but they suck if you lay the bike down and yes i have wrecked in the before.

  • Now try driving like that on a hot summer day in traffic.

  • @blthetube1 I ride in 110 Phoenix heat in that suit. Rather sweat than bleed.

  • @blthetube1 @AtlasRider

    ATGATT baby

All the gear all the time... words to live by... literally

  • I'm the kind of guy who would steal the clothing just to throw it 2 streets further...

  • Great video! Pay no attention to the morons knocking your suit. They obviosly haven't been riding very long if they don't know aerostich!

  • Totally agree with you... ATGATT, but that looks like a major hassle. But I don't ride my bike to the store or friend's houses anyway. I just take it on long beautiful blasts around my favorite roads. In 5 years I can probably count on both of my hands the number of trips I've made under 100miles. Kinda crazy to think about it. lol. Guess that's why my bank called me 2 years ago for spending a crap ton of money in $9 increments at random gas stations.

  • @lifeisgood070 Been there! My bank loves me!

  • Good video. I high ended 3 yrs ago. The only part of me without armor was my legs, and those were the bones broken, and badly. If I'd had a jacket without armor, sneakers instead of boots, and an open- instead of full-face helmet, I'd have died instantly. Back to riding, & always put on knee guards. Ride safe & God bless!

  • Great vid! Im a scooter rider and get laughed at for wearing protection. But if you've seen the streets in Las Vegas, you'd probably understand too. I know a 150 scoot doesnt go as fast as a motorcycle, but the same damage can be done at 35mph. One ass sitting at a bus bench had the nerve to laugh at me. I hollared at him, "At least IM moving!!!" LOL

  • u convinced me... im going to buy protective pants tomorrow, im not into the whole suit thing though. thanks for the video, ride safe!

  • 2 minutes and something isnt that bad

  • you shouldn't have to remove your boots to get into and out of the aerostich.... I never do :) A long cable to loop through the sleeves and lock to a disc u-lock is easier than rolling the suit up. If you're inside for a while, get their little gear bag (or an equivalent size) and put the rolled up suit in that.

I am down to just the aerostich year round. You get where you're going, take off the suit, and you're ready! (I stuff the suit in a locked top box). Great vid

  • I don't think that suit protect from anything but, maybe, dirt, wind and water.

  • hahaha way to stall it coming in haha clutch dude, clutch

  • Know what's a real hassle?? Skin grafts.

  • @GPz84 Took the words right out of my mouth. Most people would say what is the point, then quit riding after one crash in a T-Shirt. When they are sitting in a hospital bed, the gear does not seem so much of a hassle, unfortunately it does seem like a big hassle everywhere else but in the hospital. Even worst...some still don't get it after a crash. I know humans are supposed to be intelligent creatures but we sometimes like moths to a flame. Some intelligence.

  • the gear your using shouldn't be able to roll up like that if its any good, you must have little/no protection in the shoulders, back, elbows, knees, shins, and thighs.... get a proper set of leathers and a decent back+chest protector and then get a leatt street neck brace. But at least you have the right idea. Safe riding buddy.

  • Why would you use your feet to slow down before using the brake to stop? Physics don't work well like that on a bike.

  • Good Vid.

  • Why the jumpsuit? Just throw on a leather jacket and some riding pants, then you wont have to look like a knob taking off a shit ton of clothes just to get off the bike

  • @rustyeffect loool i know right

  • @rustyeffect A one piece is better protection...hence why they wear it on the track. Depends on your priority. Convenience for TODAY or for the rest of your LIFE. Not saying you HAVE to wear one piece, just saying it's nothing to question. It's like "Why you wear a racing harness in your car?". The answer is obvious.

  • Yes, I'd rather sweat than bleed.

  • not trying to but ur balls that much but rly dude a jumpsuit rly

  • lol so when you get hit head on by a moron in a truck going 50 mph your dead ass is ganna wish you didnt waste your fucking time with all that gear

  • dude! you make it look so easy. it really is inspiring.

  • Hey man, I couldn't make out what you were holding around .35, looked like you took it off the bike and walked away with it.

  • @greenninja2003 My MP3 player

  • @AtlasRider definately an MP3 player is essential equipment. bring mine on all rides too. Any good riding music you can suggest?

  • This video is one of my favorites. I have 2 Motoport suits. My 3 season suit (good for riding in all conditions except 90+ degree weather) is one piece, and I can get it on and off in about 20-25 seconds without pulling off my boots. Having crashed in my gear at 35 mph (Corvette pulled in front of me then slammed on brakes) and suffering only a minor abrasion on my left knee, I am a believer in ATGATT.

  • Should be required Viewing

    At each State DMV BEFORE

    The rider recieves his MC

    ENDORSEMENT!

  • @bartmaniv So a video about how much of a hassle putting gear on is should be required at DMV? Oh...I get it. You hate bikers and are hoping for maximum casualties. Got ya. Makes sense. They should add some dangerous stunts too. lol

  • interesting place to put the stitch

  • can't trust anyone where i live. had a scorpion helmet and locked it to the bike, someone cut the helmet off -.-

  • ur gear looks like frog tog type things.. rain gear..?

  • in my city, if u leave ur bike on "or whatever", no one will touch it. Some places are safe to leave ur stuff without stolin.

  • Very nice but you forgot to use a disc lock on the front wheel. The bike is mine! Muhahaha!

  • ur not locking ur suite. someone can just pick it up and walkaway with it.

  • I agree with wearing gear all the time but never leave anything with your bike. Don't forget gear is expensive and people will steal it just so they can sell it.

  • lol he looks like a powerranger

  • bro thats a cool way to do it but NOT if you`r in Romania. If you would let ya stuff hanging like you did there... in 5 minutes its gone and maybe they would take the bike to.... just for fun... there`s no use to steal the gear if they cant ride somethin`.

Good job and i hope nowbody dares to steal ur stuff

  • You forgot your books bro!

  • I can't believe that you need to take your boots off to remove or put on your Aerostich Roadcrafter suit!!! You are making a hassle out of something that isn't.

  • I agree, wholeheartedly . However, gear won't protect you from broken bones. It will reduced your suffering though.

  • how tall are you please respond

  • @codynoway 5 foot 9 inches

  • nice video bro! the sad truth is that by the time you come back, the gear will be gone and then you would look like a squid riding home :)

  • @ironmedic I use a steel braided cable combination lock to secure my suit to the bike. I lock my helmet and gloves in one of the saddlebags. If my Shad top case isn't in use, I stuff my suit in there. I have a 2009 Yamaha FJR. Best commuting bike ever! Power and handling of a sport bike, comfort and storage of a touring bike.

  • You make a good point but its not a safe palce for your gear. At least in my are, if I was to put my stuff there I will never see it again.

  • nice educational video........were are the squids they need to watch it.

  • gotta go back for the camera lol

  • 4 people didn't wear it all the time

  • what about motorcycle gear? I was checkin the chick in the back with short shorts out :D

  • It always better than spending 'x' months and 'x 'amount of days in the hospital!

  • hahahaha that's how long i take to boot up one foot!!!

by the way that is some nice lenghty boot! wich boot is that?

  • @pedroaguiaromundo Aerostich Combat Touring Boot (manufactured by Sidi)

  • This is a really powerful ATGATT video man, well done :)

  • what...? thats a m13 bike

  • Aerostich number 1 !!!!

  • spending 2:29 to put on or take off the gear is better than having ass graphs placed on your chest n back. think about it. PS. i notice everything on a bike and everything in between. you havent got jacked for your suit yet !!!

  • Do you just wear your boots all day?

  • Ninja 650's are a win!

  • Try wearing this in Florida. If I try to wear full gear I literally start to feel faint. Not a fun feeling to have while doing 75 on the Highway.

  • This should be made into the commercial

  • good safety related video. i ride a 600cc, and i dont really wear all the gear sometimes. but accidents happen. in this texas horrible hot weather. trust me, its a pita have all your gear on.

  • @tomtx06 same here, I ride in California and it's just too hot to wear a thick jacket all the time; I always where close toed shoes, thick denim jeans, and obviously a helmet

  • who care abourt 2 mins what eve rit will save you 3 months in the hospital ;D

  • Curious question about your boots... I noticed they are outside your jeans when you are riding and inside when you are not. Would it not be easier to just leave them inside your jeans and not have to take them off? Or is there a more practical reason? I guess they must be pretty comfortable, I can hardly wear my boots on a hot humid day here in STL.

  • Why wear that 1 piece suit? Just use some normal looking pants with built in protective gear and a leather jacket. You'll cut your time by 2 minutes.

  • Hey man in the next week I'll be getting a red ninja and I think this would be cool to have with it, where'd you get that riding suit and who makes it?

  • @pearldrumer9 Congrats on the bike. I am wearing an Aerostich Roadcrafter.

  • Love it

  • @PnlBtr You have shit grammar and spelling.

  • @PnlBtr Now listen children. The correct form of this sentence would be: "You have shitty gear."

Thank you, have a good day.

  • i dont use that kind of gear but stashing there would be impossible on my current bike, its a gsr and the exhaust is kind of under the rear seat. can you say 'oven baked safety suit'? nice vid though, and it doesnt take you that long :)

  • u make a very good point

  • I'd rather take a few minutes to put on that gear if it will save my life!

  • ATGATT..only way to ride even though there have been so many times it seems way more convenient to only use helmet + jacket + gloves. What suit is that?

  • @pch0mey Yo, it's an Aerostich, out of Duluth, Minnesota. About eight bills... This guy has a window facing that bike. And a fast way to the street... No doubt...

  • Do you guys wear all your gear just to go somewhere quickly and close. I sure don´t. But always have at least jacket, gloves and helmet.

  • What do you do with your shoes after you put the boots on?

As far as myself, I am guilty of definitely wearing gear from waist up and jeans/shorts and tennis shoes below.......I have been fortunate so far

  • cool video-great message---we ride through a lot of weather conditions---and sometimes in areas where many other riders have no protective gear/helmet but I always say I'd rather sweat to death than bleed to death.

  • What's a bigger hassle that taking the time to put it on and off is having to carry it around. I can't leave my helmet and jacket on my bike. I'm pretty sure it won't be there when I come back. :)

  • This is a sequel to 9/11.

  • How secure is it leaving your gear on your back wheel?

  • @AnotherCopierOfM13 It's not secure, but I stopped worrying about security a while ago. Haven't had a problem. I don't think most people even notice it there.

  • @AtlasRider

You could always run a cable lock through your sleeves and around the tail or wheel.

  • ATGATT ftw indeed... Are you listening to your ipod when you ride?

  • @2010MGRV Yea I listen to music/podcasts while I ride.

  • @AtlasRider How do you find it? Ive always wanted to try it.. but worry somewhat about not having full attention on the road

  • @2010MGRV It took some getting used to when I first started (5 years ago), but now my attention automatically focuses on the road when it needs more of my concentration. Sometimes I'll be focusing on the road for so long a whole song goes by without me noticing it. So, it hasn't be a problem for me personally.

  • It is worth it! You are correct. I do not leave my helmet. The gloves go in my saddle bag. So far so good. Then again, my bike is either parked at home behind a locked fence or in front of the bank windows in front of my workplace. If someone takes something, there will be security cameras.

  • I had someone steal my gloves out of my helmet. Helmet was locked to the bike so they couldn't take that. They must've watched me put my gloves in there since I had a dark smoke shield on it and you couldn't tell they were there.

I've learned thieves are opportunists, and if they can steal something they will. Now all my gear is on me, or locked up. IMO, you've been lucky so far.

  • @DarkNinja75 I decided a long time ago the the anxiety of worrying about theft, coupled with the hassle of carrying around gear when you are getting on and off the bike is a greater mental and physical effort cost that is greater than the cost of the gear itself.

If someone takes it, they take it. It's just stuff.

You never hear about all the gear out there that hasn't been stolen.

  • @AtlasRider You should buy a cable lock and run it through a sleeve and lock it around the subframe when you leave your gear in between the tail and wheel. You could even fit it under the seat so you have it with you at all times.

  • im doing that same thing. carring your gear around is a bitch ( going out, work ) etc. cable under the seat, through the helmet and jacket sleeve is the best option.

  • lolol love the video , its simple and almost like a comercial , nice one

  • ATGATT ftw ^^

  • Without proper boots I would have amputated my own lower leg. Allegedly.

  • @svengalie it might have been better.... less recovery time... =).... j/k

  • do you wear the 'Stich during winter?

  • @AviBaby18 Yea I wear my 'Stich during the winter. Best time to use it.

  • Of course. All the gear, all the time.

  • very good viedo i think every body needs to wear gear all. the time in my area i see far too many squids riding in shrits ad no helmet o protective gear at all and they thik it looks cool depedig on what kind of rideing im goig to depeds whitch gear i wear

  • GREAT VID!!!

  • I love the message. I love the simplicity. I love that it's under 2 minutes.

    Great job Atlas!

  • ATGATT FTW. :)

    Good vid Atlas.

  • How about a slower version with an explanation?

  • @imlkrsfn yes, this...I can't see where the boots/street shoes go, for starters.

  • I'm starting to look into gear now,i may not be able to afford a bike yet but at least i can start buying some gear.

  • Well done Atlas, but I wouldn't let my gear off my eyesight :) Coincidentally I just shot a vlog today where i mention that I use some gear all the time (except the pants and boots). But def good advice!

  • cool video man

  • I love this vid! I'm gonna have to look into that gear.

  • Safety First!

  • stuffing gear under the rear wheel?

  • @macca1088

ehh i mean above the rear wheel..... dont think thats a great idea but puttin it in the fairing is a could do

  • @macca1088 At least you don't have a stupid box on the back.

  • great job.. Some real thought went into it..

  • The 'Stich is easy to put on and take off for sure. There's no way I'd leave mine tucked under the seat like that leaving the bike. However, I realize you probably just did that for the video. I paid far too much for my 'Stich to leave it for someone to jack. I run a cable lock through if if I don't carry it with me for whatever reason. Definitely agree, all the gear, all the time!

  • @BusasaurusRex no one would steal your gay ass stitch

  • @billmaa LOL!!! Now,now don't make me separate you two.Hahaha

  • @billmaa

Ya honestly, no-one wants to be seen even touching that shit.

  • @BusasaurusRex I just always may sure to park in more public spots (sidewalks) so the chances of someone taking stuff with lots of people around are lessened. After two years of doing this, haven't had a problem. If it's a sketchy area, I take it with me. I just play it by ear, but most the time my stich goes above the rear tire.

  • @AtlasRider But you miss out on the funny looks people give you when you start taking your trousers off in work!

Always interesting to see who looks disappointed and who looks relieved :)

Yet another agree on all the gear, all the time.

  • Very well done sir (:

  • uuu sexy in red

  • Good Job.

  • Yes indeed bro, I can't preach that enough myself. Crashing will make one a believer really quick, and it's better to think yes I have everything on, vs no I wish I would of got some pants or whatever because you are now f***ed.

  • Fantastic Fantastic Fantastic Video. (:

  • Is that a 'stich? Why would you put it under your seat? You know thieves and the like.

  • @MobileReign Yea it's a 'stich, and I've been doing it for two years now. No problem. I just always may sure to park in more public spots (sidewalks) so the chances of someone taking stuff with lots of people around are lessened.

  • nice, i want an aerostitch, is that a roadcrafter?

  • @aatoratog Yea, I use an Aerostich Roadcrafter

  • Woah, I neve rthought about putting it under the seat! I have an upgraded back protector (really hard) so it wouldn't roll like that though. :(

  • Hahah, awesome. Thanks for makin' this.
