  • ALL SEVENTEEN YEAR OLDS SUCK

  • HaHa title says: "Let No Man Put Us Under" It sounds like that, does it?

  • @NEXPAR LOL, it indeed does sound that way, too funny.

  • Fuck all those who bitch about today's music. People said this sucked back when it was new! Seventeen year olds liked Rock n Roll and beat up kids who liked DISCO so fuck off!

  • I'm only 16 and I loveee this sonnnnnnnnnnnnnnnng.

  • "It's not a prefect LOVE but Ill defend it!!

  • 3:33 Samples using for Ixxel - drop that beat, 3:43 for Butch - No Worries.

  • HOLLA CHICAGO!!!!HOUSE MUSIC!!!

  • Bx..NYC all day....one of the precursors to house music.......NYC created it and perfected it...

  • @theiicemancometh

U clearly don't know what you're talkin about.

House was invented in Chicago at the WareHOUSE by Frankie Knuckles.

True, he may have been from NY but he was Chicago at the time...

  • @naima2971 YOU HAVE A LOT TO LEARN...house comes from 2 things...the disco groups like First Choice,Two Tons O' Fun(martha wash),Inner Life(jocelyn brown),Ecstacy Passion Pain(barbara roy)Loleatta Holloway and others. their tracks were remixed, drum tracks added ect. by NY/NJ DJS in NY/NJ CLUBS. we take the classic r&b joints like ALL I DO, I WANNA THANK YOU, HARVEST FOR THE WORLD,YOU DONT KNOW and many more and bang them at our clubs, parties ect. ALL OF THIS CAME FROM NYC & NJ....

  • @naima2971 it used to be called motown

If you're ever come to NYC, check out the Roseland Ballroom for Rhythm Revue Night and Felix Hernandez is bound to play this jam. Then you have to check out the "hustle" section of the floor. It is AWESOME to watch people getting their hustle on!

  • Let No Man Put "ASUNDER"

  • If you from New York or New Jersey.....back in the day this song was considered required listening. No club would be caught dead without this song. I remember this song used to fill up the dance floor and people would get lost in the music. We had so much fun that just remembering makes me feel less stress. Although many people are dead and gone they are not forgotten. Straights and gays used to party side by side without a issue. People these days need to learn how to party the right way.

  • HELLO HOWSILLY 1. THANK YOU FOR REACHING OUT TO ME. YOU ARE ALSO SO VERY KIND. THANK YOU FOR THE KEYBOARD COMPLIMENT.

  • At least use the right name : Let No Man Put Asunder.

  • Can somebody please tell me the lyrics from 3:23 to 3:27?

  • @itchieG "aquarium ... you dig where im from comin from babe" :)

  • These girls did a lot for house music. Many things were sampled and looped from different songs, but only few vocals. Loleatta and First Choice among them. And the vocals for It's Not Over, told us these ladies were in better shape than ever after "Armed & Dangerous", "Guilty". "Dr. Love", etc

Loops of Honey Let Me Tell You Something, No Man In The World, WOooh Babyyy were the shit (could dance to them forever), and all three hollered!

  • To remember the clubs as they were is a real cherished memory. Thank you for your comment about this true Dance Classic. I am grateful., Bruce Hawes, the Composer

  • Strong Island...in the 80's ....Dom perignon...strawberries and the Hustle !!!! On the dance floor all night long!!!

  • "Asunder" not "us under". LOL. Thanks for the post!

  • Mary J Blige remade this song I like both versions...

  • this is the best song that was ever made in life period.

  • The untold story of First Choice, Annette Hardeman, Ursula Herring and Wardell Piper are incredible lead singers. They are in another league all by themselves... Thank you for commenting on my friends song that was written by Bruce Gray and I. Oh yea, that is me on the Rhodes.

  • @HawesBruce

nuff respect... This is a certified classic!!

  • @HawesBruce ...amazing....read your profile....must be nice to be so accomplished....did you ever hear this in NYC at the Garage or Philly at Catacombs or Second Story or the DCA....it's one thing to listen to it now but something else altogether to be able to remember it as we heard it then in those clubs with the crowd reaction.......we couldn't get enough !!

  • @HawesBruce - AWESOME.....from the 77 release to this remix. I understand Bruce Gray has passed.

  • @HawesBruce Wardell? How about Rochelle Fleming?Joyce Jones? You, however are a keyboard god..big respect Bruce.

  • @HawesBruce bullshit

  • @HawesBruce how interesting. i thought first choice was made up of rochelle fleming & joyce jones, nd some other girl, can't place her name on my tongue right at the moment. when did this all change? btw, i'm also a keyboardist who was with sylvester and patrick cowley and man parrish,

  • @HawesBruce where can I get Rhodes lessons?! You brought it down on this track!

  • @HawesBruce One of my favorite joints of all time, thank you!

  • this song take me back with good memories.

  • It's called Let no man put asunder. Asunder means apart. Mary J Blige covered this on the Mary album.

  • @spanishliljon: Correct. It's actually a quote from The Bible regarding marriage, "What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder." (Matthew 19:3-6)

Useless trivia, but US bibles seem to have the phrase as "let no man put asunder", hence the title to the song. Outside the US it's as I quoted... interesting.
