Busy, busy, busy. Lots of trains on the wrong side main. Passing slower trains. Really moving it. In the early 1960's RS-3 #1558 blasted through town daily on the wrong side main at 90MPH. What a show. This modern bottleneck can be fixed with a trick from the past... Restore the cental branch from Meadowbrook Pkwy to Farmingdale. Single track, third rail. Stations at E.Meadow and Levittown, W bound morning, East bound afternoon. 4 track main west from Floral Park can handle both lines.
