@ColinPower1 About 10 seconds earlier the guy fighting the wheel dog creature shoves a rod in his mouth preventing the creature from biting down on him. The moment you're talking about is when the creature decides to bite down so hard on the steel rod that it burst through the top of his head. Watch again closely.

Is that official? A lot of scenes made to look like one take will use darkened moments or whip pans to hide it so that they can select the best parts from each run, and it's usually totally unrecognizable. I'm sure they did lots of complete takes, but the final product may be comprised of a few different pieces. Not saying it is, but don't assume so.

If it was done that way, I'd be more impressed with them building such a huge, complex set than the camera work or anything else.

Most likely they filmed the mirror image separately from the rest and then edited the footage in the mirror to make it look like his mirror image.

It's common to say that this scene is what ultimately keeps this film from completely falling under and making it a completely worthless video game adaptation. I can honestly say that the only reason I would buy a copy of this movie is just for this one scene. No other film (that I know of) has ever done an FPS scene this long and detailed before. This film could (possibly but highly unlikely) be a landmark in filming because of this one scene.
