  • is that boost or a dead cat singing?

  • Nice Caddy, but I still don't see how anyone goes from this to something like a boring SUV. I fail to see how a car can't hold the same things, I've put stuff WAY bigger than car seats and strollers into my car. Hmph, some people just weren't meant to have nice stuff and settle for hum drum boring crap like SUVs, made for little women who can't drive and for people with a small dick. Hmm...

  • All else aside you have to love the sound of that V8- esp in 4th gear and winding down...such a sweet engine

  • lots of room for improvement there, maybe 11s with quicker shifting and harder launch

  • @nictycaram Agreed. quicker shifting would help greatly.

  • nice run bro. since you have an 05, i am assuming thats a MP112 i here whining?

  • OMG...learn how to drive

  • i love these cars...thing is fast too

  • buy the hennessey v700 package, u will do a 10.8 sec 1/4 mile

  • This is a 2005 CTS-V (the last generation). That package is for the 2009+ CTS-V which does low 12's bone stock.

  • That's fair haha. what do you think of the Porsche in comparison to the caddy? I have my own biased preference but i figured since you've driven them both you'd be a realible source for comparison

  • Really hard to compare the two. The Caddy was faster in every measureable category you can think of. The Cayenne is quick, for a truck, but by no means as fast as most sporty cars or even other trucks like the Jeep GC-SRT8. The Cayenne does have most usable space for car seats and strollers compared to the Caddy though...and that's where I am currently in my life. The leather dash is nice too ;)

  • Haha well thanks for taking the time to answer all my question. I hope someday when i have kids ill be making enough money to support them and still enjoy the finer things in life like yourself hahaha. take care.

  • Well you've definitely got your priorities straight. Kids always come first. Raise them well and you never know - they might turn into a Bill Gates and buy you a dream car one day!

  • What did you do to upgrade the suspension?

  • The suspension is actually set up for the road course. That's one of the reasons why I could only get 2.0 60's out of it...no squat on take off. It had Ground control coilovers, H&R springs (550# front/600# rear), Hotchkis swaybars, KARS stage 3 anti-wheelhop kit and a BMR pinion support.

  • boring...don;t you think..?

  • cmon man you cant be serious do you expect the car to warp into a different dimension or something?

  • The hoover wine...just does not do it for me. I remember the sound of an old vr6 and or an m5 or even nicer the rs4..a car is about many things..and the naturally aspirated sound on a engine..does much more for the driver.don;t you think..Cadillac made a nice car..but why the audible..supercharger wine?...and the shifts are a bit ackward no?

  • the supercharger whine is only good to intimidate other drivers other than that you are pretty much right

  • You guys, this is a 2005 CTS-V. It came stock with a LS6 N/A motor. The supercharger was added aftermarket (Magnuson supercharger). The 2009 CTS-V comes stock with a blower and the whine is much quieter. When I had the car I received nothing but compliments on the sound. The Magnaflow and Kooks headers made a ferocious sound that drowned out the supercharger whine. I can't believe you actually compared this to a VR6...

  • truthfully i thought it was an 09 but let me tell you happypants that 1st gen v is badass and i dont know about the vr6 thats the other guy's comparison lol

  • The Vr6 is a great, fun car but i don't know how the hell he can compare it to a CTS-V, whole different animal. As for the people complaining about the whine, I've heard the same whine come from AMG's so...doesn't really bother me either way. Also, im more impressed with cars that have a lot of power and are also able to keep that power contacted to the street which the 09 V does extremely well. Set a record at Nurburg. Plain and simple, the V and all the cars it competes with are world class.

  • whar are you quarter mile times? mph?

  • It ran 12.4@117mph as my best ET and 119mph as my best trap speed. I miss that car.

  • That is wicked fast. If ya dont mind me askin what happend to the car?

  • I just decided to sell it after we had our first kid. Eventually, it was going to kill me or, worse, hurt someone else. The power was just too tempting. I bought a much slower Porsche Cayenne Turbo instead.

  • Oh and the extra +100 hp and 1 sec. 1/4 mile shaving from stock are other nuisances to deal with as well. 8motion, have you EVER been in car for a 1/4 mile drag? Like cataklyst said, what's satisfactory for you?.... when he hits 88 mph, he travels through time? And BTW the supercharger whine is a mod for the car and therefore is obviously voluntary. So stop comparing apples to oranges with that overpriced eurotrash crap.

  • OMG is this someones mom driving this?

  • Nice, this looks like pacific raceways, i raced there at the student drags.

I <3 CTS's, my GF's mom has one and sometimes she lets me barrow it for a day...i love it, seats are kinda stiff though.

  • Yep, Pacific Raceways this past spring. Not sure about stiff seats though. My Acura CLS had stiff seats. The regular CTS seats are actually pretty soft.

  • was your CTS your daily driver? my GF's mom like never drives her caddy..like i think in the last 5 months shes maybe driven it 100 miles..she always takes my GF's truck ( 08 Ridgeline, i know i call it a minivan) because my GF never drives.lol. so i think the seats are probably stiff because it hasn't been used much.idk. i love the car,it likes to get sideways with the hidden"fun"button turned off.lol.i love pushing that.the sport mode actually makes it handle better and faster.its got the 3.6L

  • What kind of times are you running. I totally need to get a blower like that on my 05!

  • On street tires (ie no traction) I was only getting 12.4s. The car has trapped as high as 119mph though and therefore is a mid-high 11-sec car from a roll. As you probably realize, this car isn't the best dragracer from a stop. It'll hold it's own from a roll or on a road course though.

  • yea thats so tru ...even my bone stock V has trouble sticking on a 2k launch but i think mainly its cuz the run flat tires... are u satified with the magnaflow exhaust and Lingenfelter intake

  • I think it was more the suspension than the stock run flats. The auto-leveling shocks don't allow for very much squat at launch. Therefore, you aren't getting much weight transfer to pin the rear tires and increase traction. It was even worse after I stiffened up the suspension. Handled better, but launched worse. The Magnaflow sounded awesome but I don't know if the intake really did anything.

  • Nice car. It sounds like its supercharged or blown. The new one is supposed to run a 12 flat.

  • It has a Magnuson supercharger, Kooks headers, Magnaflow exhaust, a Lingenfelter intake and a StealthV mailorder tune.

  • "when you spurting lies" another incomplete phrase. Are you from America?

Please tell me what lie I told. What am I talking out of my ass about?

When I wrote Supercharged I was thinking of Turbocharged, which is different than a blower/supercharger. I made one definitive mistake 8 months ago, and you've made about twelve in the past couple hours. Go do something productive like play in the street.

  • Ok, let's race. Come on down to LA and I will show you speed first hand. That is if you can afford to make the trip.

I don't care what you built or what you own, to me your just some dork online who can't even articulate elementary level sentences and phrases.

"about things you never" - lol, so stupid. If you keep this up your kids are going to turn out even dumber than you.

It's embarrassing that you follow every post I make. Get a life you dweeb.

  • badass car. finally some good ran on the V

  • Wow, that luxury brick sure flies! What work have you done to it / what do they run stock?

  • Nice run! I wish I could have been there.

  • Nice job hustling the Maggied V!
