did you know that some of the foo fighters early songs were supposed to be on the nirvana album and it would feature kurt on drum and dave on lead vocals and guitar but sadly kurt passed away. i love weezer and i love the foo foozer/ wee fighters doesnt matter they bith fucking rock

without nirvana, weezer wouldn't exsist, i think rivers was showing respect by opening for the drummer's band. The Foo Fighters are more successful I believe too. I've seen both at MSG in NYC on different occasions.

@RyanSTH94 I think Nirvana was on the verge of breaking up anyway, but they would have made their comeback around this time like the other grunge bands have been. But a Weezer opening for Foo Fighters opening for Nirvana is the concert I shall see in heaven.

no, weezer opened for foo fighters if you can remember. weezer is good, i saw them at MSG last september, but they dont have anything agaisnt the foo fighters. dave grohls just a brilliant song writer/frontman. i love weezer, but theres no way around it, foo fighters are the better band

@sharty5000 Actually, trying from an objective point of view, Dave Grohl is a better frontman. But Rivers Cuomo is a better songwriter, especially after reading his excerpts from the Pinkerton Diaries. I think the Foos have remained consistently brilliant whilst gaining huge popularity throughout the years (with help from the Nirvana fanbase), thus more people will probably prefer Foos, although I think Weezer's first two albums just about peak any album the Foos have done.
