Cool, thats the same thing I did to mine except I put on some glasspacks instead of the mufflers. Almost the same as straight pipes. I wonder if an H or X pipe will help with the popping sounds that I know you probably have like me. I still wouldn't go back to stock though. Sounds good.

No, it won't help. The popping sound is caused by the DFCO, or Deceleration Fuel Cut Off. When you let off the throttle, the fuel is completely cut off from the motor and when you downshift or get back into the throttle, it backfires. It's completely normal. You can have it shut off via a tuning program. It gives you about an extra mpg. I like the popping, personally.

Thanks for the info. I did read something about that on the gto forum but didn't know the mpg impact. 1 mpg isn't bad if I decide to go that route however I'll probably just leave it alone as it doesn't bother me all that much either.
