  • I had the exact same one in high school but mine was a 1968, what a beautiful car, what memeries!

    Cheers, Bobbie

  • hands down my favorite model of volvo. wish like hell i had one

  • I have liked the look of this car since the i first time saw one brand new when I was a kid. I know the term "timeless design" is pretty cliche' but It really applies to this car. If they reissued this body design they would sell millions of them

  • Also... the grill is of the '67/'68 type. The '66 grill is flat and doesn't have double rows.

  • Nice car! One question, though... It appears to have '67 side trim. The '66 cars had the "hockey stick" chrome on the door (I have a '66). The straight, thin chrome didn't appear until the '67 model. Are you sure this is a '66?

  • @chubstheclown The 66 had straight trim. The 64 was the last model with Hockey trim. Yours has been modified with hockey trim if it is a 66.

  • @ProjectAurora The '66 1800S definitely did not have straight trim. Go to the Volvo 1800 Picture Gallery website and look at the 100s of pictures of 1966 cars. Not one of them has straight trim. Nor do the '65s.

  • I've forgotten how cool these are. I might need to build one of these into my next vintage rally car!
