well you know guys i have a much much greater 5.1 sound system and it is bigger and it contains a dvd player and a flash reader and memory cards reader and a radio with antenna and it has 6 speakers and it is so awesome and if i get good number of replys i will do unboxing and review of it ok ??
I'm very interested in this system but have heard some bad points. How do you find the DVD compatibly? Are the fans very loud? Whatever happened to your set up video?
@dhandley22 I have been happy with it, with regard to the fan noise I cant say I notice it too much so this is possibly subjective and depending on usage. The set up review fell a little by the wayside due to work and other commitments...
@calvinchoe100 Others have referred to it as a center speaker in the comments. I do know its a subwoofer. The video wasn't scripted and I referred to the bass unit or speaker as it provides the low end frequencies. Thanks for the comment.

I was kind of shocked by the size of the subwoofer, I mean, you have to admit that thats REALLY small, at least for a 1000 watt system... I was expecting it to be maybe an 8 or even 10 inch driver but, the small 6 inch is kind of sad.
For our the audio part of our setup, we have a Panasonic system, also 1000 watts, but for subwoofers, it has 2 8s. It sounds nice but dose not handle those really low frequencies, 35 and under...
Now in my room, I built 2 boxes, each with a 12 inch driver
with an RMS of 500 watch each, and for an amplifier, I have a Peavey bass amp. It handles those low notes really, really well. Now for the other part of my system, I have a 5.1 Technics Receiver, a Technics Center, 2 Mission mains, and 2 Technics Cinema Style Surrounds.
Now don`t get me wrong, it sounds good, but as soon as I get enough money, I`m upgrading to 7.1 and building 2 new surrounds, 2 new sides, and a custom center, as well as upgrading the bass amp. I`ll post a vid soon!
@americaneagle791 Hey I would like to see that video, it reminds me a little of when my brother and I would build speaker systems for stereos back in the 70s, but this is much better than TV Speakers alone for my domestic out of the box set up.
I'm upgrading soon, I'm going to build some new 15's soon, to go with my 52 inch plasma I'm getting and my new Onkyo 7.1 Receiver, I think I'm going to pick up a new power amp too.
As soon as I get those new components, I'll post a vid.

Just ordered the samsung BD3252 model with the tall boy speakers and wireless rear speaker system. Is that the same or no? I was shocked on how huge the player is you show there Yikes!

@tazzedout82364 Hi glad you liked the video. I think the BD3252 is similar, the wireless rear I had to buy as a separate unit in the UK, I think yours may have a couple more inputs. But I think you'll like it. I have it set up temporarily, I just moved so am waiting for a stand arriving and then will do the full set up video.

Just picked up one at currys, with £250 off, it was the BD1250, simple set it up, sounds great, also like the ipod dock, overall very satisfied.
