Well I think you should try to change something with your recording method. I think the sound you hear when playing is great, but after recording it is ... well I don't like it. Sorry I can't help. man at first you should correct the intonation of your tremolo!

Please don't take this the wrong way (it will probably get nuked anyway) but you need to focus more on vibrato, it makes this song sound so much more emotional when you get the vibrato right. Your knowledge of the song is good enough for you to nail the vibrato, too.

I think its funny that you say that the notes on 2:03 are off. Cause everybody plays that bit wrong. I have the official tab book, approved by Joe himself, and I play it exactly correct.

Trust my, those notes are not off, those are the only correct notes, and this is how Joe plays it too.

No I never used tap tempo on the DD-6. It was always on 800ms mode.

Now I use the time machine from VOX, and still I rarely use the tap tempo function.

Most of the time I have my delay in one mode and setting, and sometimes use another delay in the GFX as a reverb as well.

Sure:

For Joe's short delay: 10 o'clock, 10 o'clock, 2 o'clock and 800ms mode. This delay should be 400 miliseconds.

For Joe's long delay: 10 o'clock, 9 o'clock, full and 800ms mode. This delay should be around 600-650 miliseconds.

If you combine those 2 delays together you can get a tumbling reverb effect.

i checked ur rig.. nice stuff.. even i use a gfx-5 in my chain.. just for modulations and some delay.. how do u like the gfx series??

Those GFX series are actually quite good,. It was my very first pedal, but I start buying other pedals because I wanted to turn on/off every effect when I wanted to. I now use the GFX only for a nice clean sound and some reverb and delay.

done nice.i think a little bit more gain would do better.i recomend u buy a usb recording device like line6 toneport n staff it will make ur sound quality much better and its cheap as well.more imoirtantly it will improve ur playing as well as it will contrast even the single little otherwise undetectable mistake. i appreciate ur enthuciasm n hardwork. hope to see more of ur videos.thanx.

Is it easy to bend the string on the js1200?

Yes, once you replaced the factory strings, and set the guitar up properly (action, sting height, tremelo) Bending is very easy en great.

Maybe you have to get used to the guitar's radius, but that doesn't take very long.

Dude, the 2 most easy differences between a JS1200 and a JS100 are the headstock, and the neck inlay.

JS100: Black headstock, joe satriani 21th fret inlay, (Edge III tremelo, color is transparent red etc)

JS1200: Candy Apple headstock, normal Abalone DOT inlay, (Edge Pro tremelo, color is candy apple, etc)

And dude, you own a JS100 yourself! Can't you see the difference??
