What I don't understand about this attack is that why is it one of the most important? @Susanp34 By the way Susan. The King James Version is just that - a "VERSION" of the Bible. It's a translation. It was written in the Middle-Ages (the time of King James) by someone who would not be considered a scholar by modern standards and had little understanding of the original context.
If you want an "accurate" version, better learn ancient Hebrew and Aramaic. Otherwise, you're relying on someone else's controversial re-wording. Some concepts don't translate well. Ask a linguist.

I'm not sure many jumped - I think they tried to get as far outside the windows as possible in order to breathe. Then as the building got hotter their hands were involuntarily forced to let go, and they fell.
I am dismayed that some people think it was morally wrong to jump (good grief? how cruel these people must be to pass judgement in that way!!!). But actually I don't think most did. On the contrary, they were among the ones most determined to stay alive as long as possible.
