  • I've got a serious case of tool envy. I'm shopping right now for a track saw...

  • This looks like a great series in the making.

I’ve never seen a track saw like you are using, it’s pretty neat. As usual your videos are very well made with an abundance of practical tips.

This is my busiest time of the year at work and I’ve been away from YouTube for a few weeks, can’t wait to catch up on my viewing.

  • 32 ?? thats warm compared to -1 up in michigan here

  • Thank you USNERDOC! They look great for the garage and very useful too...

  • Doc, you passed on the oak and birds eye? There has to be a project in their future.

  • @SgtBooker44 - Had to respect desires of the budget manager . . . my wife ;-)

  • How much did this saw cost you, and what kind of vacuum are you running with it?

  • do you have any trouble aligning the rail to the cut marks? I often adjust one end of a straightedge, walk to the other end, align that end, and the 1st end moves, needing readjustment . . .

  • I need something like that for my own garage.

Level 1 Mod 2 garage storage kit...

  • Nice vid, Doc! Thanks for posting. Keep up the good work and keep sharing the knowledge!!!

  • Great video and really looking forward to watching this project. Thanks USNERDOC!

  • woo hoo, woodworking vid! I have the same saw horses, but alas, I don't have that Festool gear, lol. There is an oak bench that is on my To Do list to sand and finish. Maybe I can get to it this weekend. Can't wait for the other parts in this series!

  • Cool I am thinking of turning my garage into a "Man Cave" (you know with a bar, pool table, tv, dart board, etc) And then just park outside. Haha.

  • You and Cody can come build my house anytime!

  • @SurvivalMedicine - Thank you sir!

  • Nice work Dave and very nice tools

  • @wranglerstar - Thanks Cody!

  • Were there any CCRs regulations to install

  • get the parallel guides...makes repetitive cutting much easier.

  • @leftistelf - on the list . . . I forwarded your comment to my wife ;-)

  • Thanks for sharing this doc. This is probably be a project that I will be taking on in the near future myself.

  • This saw seems to make cutting easier. I remember what a chore it was to cut long pieces of wood using a circular saw or a table saw and the mess is made with the saw dust.

  • Looking forward to this series of vids.

  • I was planning some garage cabinets of my own here soon. I bought a kreg jig not too long ago, what a cool tool! I look forward to seeing this project progress.

  • Looks like another interesting series, looking forward to it, thanks !

  • Excellent video!

  • Great project David

Looks like they are build to last.

  • Nice video Doc, your right about the Kreg Jig Method of building I've had mine for awhile and it's a great way to build, looking forward to seeing the rest of the project come together. Thanks for sharing

  • Hey Doc, where's your eye protection?

  • @KillerBeeKiller - BUSTED! ;-) Thanks for watching out for my safety!

  • @USNERDOC

i personally would be more concerned about hearing protection than eye protection with this saw ;)

  • @WaltherFrevert - Excellent point! The saw / vac combo is actually not that loud. I appreciate the eye on safety ;-)

  • cool series, looking forward to more ;)

  • The tiny cut in the tape is much more pricise than a fat pencil mark. A new tool in my proceedures!

  • $20 a sheet!? WOW !!! Cabinets in my garage are on my "to do" list as well. Although, I will probably be finding some used kitchen cabinets since I don't have a lot of tooling. Looks great David.

  • Festool has combined jigs & tools making an extremely useful system.

Enjoy your time in the shop my friend. I am envious : )

  • Great vid Dave.... Funny how hobbies seem the mix together.. Can't wait to see the shack come together someday..

  • Excellent work Doc!

  • I love my Festool Tracksaw. Makes cutting full sheets a breeze! I just finished up building some shelving units in my garage for storing canned goods and such. The garage is usually the most misused storage space in the home. Keeping it organized with shelving and cabinets makes life so much easier. Great vid Doc!

  • Nice Job David, the best way to keep organized, perhaps a good storage place for the first aid kits!
