do you have any trouble aligning the rail to the cut marks? I often adjust one end of a straightedge, walk to the other end, align that end, and the 1st end moves, needing readjustment . . .
woo hoo, woodworking vid! I have the same saw horses, but alas, I don't have that Festool gear, lol. There is an oak bench that is on my To Do list to sand and finish. Maybe I can get to it this weekend. Can't wait for the other parts in this series!
This saw seems to make cutting easier. I remember what a chore it was to cut long pieces of wood using a circular saw or a table saw and the mess is made with the saw dust.
I was planning some garage cabinets of my own here soon. I bought a kreg jig not too long ago, what a cool tool! I look forward to seeing this project progress.
Nice video Doc, your right about the Kreg Jig Method of building I've had mine for awhile and it's a great way to build, looking forward to seeing the rest of the project come together. Thanks for sharing
$20 a sheet!? WOW !!! Cabinets in my garage are on my "to do" list as well. Although, I will probably be finding some used kitchen cabinets since I don't have a lot of tooling. Looks great David.
I love my Festool Tracksaw. Makes cutting full sheets a breeze! I just finished up building some shelving units in my garage for storing canned goods and such. The garage is usually the most misused storage space in the home. Keeping it organized with shelving and cabinets makes life so much easier. Great vid Doc!
I've got a serious case of tool envy. I'm shopping right now for a track saw...

This looks like a great series in the making.
I’ve never seen a track saw like you are using, it’s pretty neat. As usual your videos are very well made with an abundance of practical tips.
This is my busiest time of the year at work and I’ve been away from YouTube for a few weeks, can’t wait to catch up on my viewing.

How much did this saw cost you, and what kind of vacuum are you running with it?

Cool I am thinking of turning my garage into a "Man Cave" (you know with a bar, pool table, tv, dart board, etc) And then just park outside. Haha.

i personally would be more concerned about hearing protection than eye protection with this saw ;)

@WaltherFrevert - Excellent point! The saw / vac combo is actually not that loud. I appreciate the eye on safety ;-)

The tiny cut in the tape is much more pricise than a fat pencil mark. A new tool in my proceedures!

Nice Job David, the best way to keep organized, perhaps a good storage place for the first aid kits!
