@MySnaz That is a tortoise, not a turtle..and they are exotic animals who do require specialized care, UV lighting, heat, specific diets etc. Research any animal to find out what they need and please please do NOT buy one from a pet store...most are wild caught and tons of them die due to the pet trade. It is best that they be left in the wild, but there are reptile rescues who do need quality homes for those that are surrendered by owners or are confiscated by animal control.

The turtle was fine, and we got the benefit of seeing that even usually-solitary cold-blooded reptiles are willing to help a friend sometimes. It's a valuable lesson that was well worth waiting a minute for.

We had this video of the turtles at church Sunday on the friend's day. This was an awesome blessing to me. I have been like that turtle flat on my back kicking just like the turtle. And through the grace of God, my wife has turned me over more than once. What a friend we have in Jesus, He is always there turning us over when we are flat on our backs. We may not see Him with our eyes, but He is there.

Having owned two tortoises myself, I saw this. The lesson that can be learned from animals is invaluable. I am sure the owner would not have allowed his beloved pet to stay long on its back.
