  • was this on VHS?

  • @MichaelHansenFUN This film was broadcast on TSW (local ITV company) and recorded to Betamax. The tape was then copied to VHS and the Beta tape was junked. Sorry about the quality!

  • the candy is total drugs!

  • when it says a police man is ok, my mom said that a gut could dress likea police man so she said to ask for some badge # thing.....

  • CLIFFHANGER.

  • You KNOW your teacher. Teachers are NEVER bad.

  • ok what the heck is a telly

  • @captxena31 a tv

  • @captxena31 Telephone

  • Not Duncan Preston!

  • OMG there's a guy in flares at the start of this, in the bank robbery.

  • Comment removed

  • @Potionette81 That's why he got caught, because he couldn't run properly in those bell bottoms.

  • I like how this film suggests that no teacher or policeman could be a pedo

  • She is just a child her mum probs didnt tell her

    to say no to strangers

  • we have this video that my auntie took when my older brother was about 7 years old. he'd never met her so when my mum couldn't pick him up (because she went into labour with me, irony right?) so she sent our aunt to get him. my brother had JUST seen this video today so when he saw some stranger say she was there to pick him up, he walked over to her and started hitting her with is school bag! we've got it on tape and everything, so funny! not for my aunt though lol

  • video game is GORF

  • wow he had a coat hanger for is aerial. I think that was a standerd ford issue in the 80s. and when you went under a bridge you lost the station. And for the kid don't worry she endid up a backing dancer for Gary Glitter.

  • Whats wrongs with a friendly bit of anal rape between friends? Sweets are expensive you know.

  • I had tonnes of fun talking to strangers when I was young. Sure I had some close escapes from creepy situations but overall it was worth it. The fear of unknown people that we innoculate kids with is ridiculous.

  • I was about to say the first bit was very reminiscent of an episode of The Sweeney. Then I realised it was.

  • Little Johny is walking home one day when a man in a large car pulls up alongside him.

"hello Little boy" he whispers.. "if I give you a sweet will you come in my car"

    Johny smiles and says

"Give me the whole packet and I'll come in your mouth"

  • IM NEVER WALKiNg hOME AGAIN

  • this is disturbing me :(

  • This is scary and very disturbing O_O.

  • This is a scary stranger danger video...

  • I don't know someone in mai school, is he a pedo?!?!?!

  • what i dont get is this dude not just signung up for a dating website instead of hitting on little boys and girls

  • @outatime245 website didn't exist in 1981..

  • ive been thinking about this campaign a lot... i remember being told - say no to strangers... but thinking about it.. i was never taught what a ´stranger´ was.... needs to be brought home with examples - people who smile and offer sweets dont seem like ´strangers´...

  • @BBCRacismWatch We were taught by a strange man with thin legs in assembly: "A stranger is just a friend you don't know yet!!!"

  • The tabby kitten ass raped her!

  • 0:52 - 1:07 oook that was random O_O

  • @TheGamingExperience1 Indeed. My friend O_O

  • Creepy, but not as bad as what we were shown in the US. There was an old film that's still around called "The Child Molester" that was made by the same people that made the gory drivers' ed films.

  • the mum is josie from whose line is it anyway

  • The beginning of the film is bizarre.

  • 1:30

    Motherfucker I'm an orphan.

  • wat is a paedoe???? ive heard of pedo but not no paedoe

  • strangers always have the best sweets

  • a paedo asked me to get in his car i broke his nose and got done for assult >?<

  • I wonder if the bloke playing the driver got a good kicking after making this

  • Werthers Originals all round, that's my advice.

  • This ad is not endorsed by the TSA in America. Beware. The TSA will use candy and other skills gained from sex offenders to grope children of all ages for no resaon.

  • @dorahater1 That's what I would have done too :)

  • iv just pissed myself reading there responses, lol

  • The bit where she's with her mum and the police woman afterwards still gets me now.

  • Also paedos aint even that nice anymore. No fucking sweets now. It's all like pre-meditated and like grooming kids on websites pretending to be a 10 year old and that. What happened to the good old days of clapped out ford granada estate cars and farms!? And you only got you bollocks felt through jeans!

  • @messthetics Yes, but it's the fault of the kids. In the old days they'd settle for a bag of dolly mixtures and a quick gander at some puppies. But then they got greedy and started to hold out for a better deal. So nowadays, they want nothing less than an X Box and a Wii. That's why kiddie fiddlers have to be more cunning.

  • Ok, so I talked to quite a few strangers when I was a kid. And yes, I'm still emotionally scarred for life. But I tell you what, I got a cracking Betamax off one old perv. Much better than a bag of poxy sweets.

  • They still used this film in 1991. I remember they sent our school loads of rubbers with the legend on it. We used to scratch off the No part and change it to yes. We were only 5, but i mean we knew it patronising then.

  • they were still using this video in 1991. I remember that we used to rub off the No part and change it to yes.

  • He seems like a nice man. I think I'd have jumped in.

  • NO IT WEREN'T DARK BLUE

  • Quick, Use your Blackberry smartphone to take a picture of that guys license plate and upload it to Twitter!!

  • 2:34 LOL his cars radio antenna is a clothes hanger.

  • @jma25able1 I just noticed that. People with older cars are sometimes still too cheap to buy a professionally designed car radio antenna at the electronics store.

  • but little did the horny man no, that the little girl was ALSO A RAPIST!!!!!

  • oh cool i'll stay for tea and what are we going to eat cumcake oh im sorry i ment crumbcake

  • i was waiting outside of the move theater and a guy said my mom asked him to pick me up and i said that i cant get in the car with him he says why not and i say i have a issue if i get into the car i might rip his dick off and he drove away

  • @Kdreamland hahaha keep in mind this is the '80s. And it's in England during the '80s. :]

  • uncle fester the child molester

  • When she went into his car I spent the rest of the video sitting here with my hand over my mouth - it's really quite distressing

  • No smelly Man in a mac asked me to come and, 'look at some puppies'. You should see the state of me now-destroyed by the total indifference.

  • Stranger: "Pl-please... help me. I'm dy-dying."

    Kid: "nope.avi"

  • 2.14 what an ugly mug. He's thinking I'll have you.

5.15, why would he ask her to stay for tea? H'es gotta be four times her age at least! Unless.......OH!

  • I watched this at Primary school, I was terrified. Plus I didn't realise the bloke in the car also appeared in Harry Enfield as Kevin's dad! We also had one at school with Michael Barrymore in!

  • @knotty80 Ironic, as Barrymore is the kind of guy you do need to warn your kids about.

  • I watched this at Primary school, I was terrified. Plus I didn't realise the bloke in the car also appeared in Harry Enfield as Kevin's dad! We also had one at school with Michael Barrymore in!

  • Is it bad that @2:52, I thought "Would you like a jelly baby?" o.o

  • Once I said "NO" to stranger dressed like a police officer, and he arrest me.

  • if a stranger offers me a sweet ill say "no thanks..im on a diet" :3

  • Lokk as the guy came into his house he was looking around to see if nobody was has had seen him.

  • in The dark Night, there was a scene that joker stated the word "Stranger". wise respond is that nothing is free

  • I would get in his car, he's kind of cute!

  • hey i know that guy.. so they are wrong :-P

  • even yor kinda knows, can be just as bad as yor don't knows, so u kids out there, don't take rides with don't knows, or kinda knows, withought yor parent's consent

  • is that Jools Holland narrating?

  • @kazzielm No, it's Tommy Boyd.

  • A kitten, not kittens? As in "see some puppies". Paedo-fail ;-)

  • Say yes to strangers and have the time of your life until he rapes you and strangles you with a plastic bag over your head.

  • @ManlytearsUK goodness! you'll frighten the children! :P

  • "you know your teachers?" but they could still be sexual predators!

  • im sorry..but i love the way hes says "well come in love, ill give you a lift!" -giggle giggle-

  • One time I saw a man tryin to ask a little girl if she wanted to go inside his car for cookies? And i heard and i asked the little girl Do you know this man?. The little girl said "No but he said he was going to give me cookies" Then i said " He's liyin he's saying that so he can take you away. The only reason he's doing it is because he's not strong enough to take big kids. then the man got mad and took out a Blade and then i Jui jitsu flipped him andhe went running to his car & drove away haha

  • Hey this is London!

  • Is this the 70's ?

  • @GearRocks Not quite, early 80s

  • do what i do a good ole can o bare mace makes creeps GTFO

  • This is actually scary

  • I wouldn't have got in that car.....its shit!

  • These guys look like a cast from a nineteen 80 movie

  • Teh kidnapped girl looks like the girl from The Parent Trap.

  • How would a random guy know ur moms number? Think pple!

  • I remember this too, years ago! Child safety experts don't recommend Stranger Danger anymore, it means kids are too afraid to ask anyone for help... National Center for Missing & Exploited Children has good info

  • true that the danger is far more likely to be from someone the child knows. a mothers boyfriend or ex boyfriend ! ect

  • At 3:08 the man says you've seen me before. I is a fact that most kidnapping and rapings at least here in the U.S.A. are done by people the child and parents knew.

  • 3:02 Look. I know you're not supposed to take sweets. But I'm not a stranger am I now? I mean YOU'VE seen me here before haven't you?

  • the problem is these days even cops and teachers can be trusted........... or even parents in some cases.

  • 4:09 *expression as she's taking close look as if she's thinking Teressa must be crazy going with that man in his car*

6:51 Girl tries to help and remember as hard as she can....

  • I'm puzzled at the relevence of Phoenix and Scramble.

  • @Wintericecrystal random stuff thats all.

  • LOL! I totally remember that movie in one of the random clips in the beginning! The pteradactyls attacking the people with spears! I can't remember the name of the movie now...

  • Directed by John Mackenzie, of the Long Good Friday and Apaches fame! Amazing! Hey, look at the bloke with the 'tache at 1:28, it's Ray from Life On Mars! "Go stick yer 'ead up yer arse!" Oh good Lord...it's Victoria Wood and Harry Enfield regular Duncan Preston at 2:15! Wonder if this is still on his CV? I'm thinking no. He does a good "paedo-smile" though.

  • i think they should show this stuff now, of course you cant always trust teachers, police etc but at least it teaches kids to be wary of strangers, too many kids have no idea of how many dangerous people are out there

  • Blimey, I can indeed remember being shown this more than 20 years ago. PC Depper came to my primary school in Suffolk.

  • @Schnorbs He also told us that the girl was really the daughter of the actor playing the man in the blue car. So no danger from her co-star there.

  • I remember seeing this when I was about 7, and it scared the hell out of me... I'm grown up now, and I still don't talk to strangers..

  • Justice in america is FLAWED. IF you rape someone you should get your dick cut off not a well lit room, safety, 3 sqaure meals aday, and the chance of getting out to do it again :|

  • kidnappers are all dead!! like if you wish this was true

  • when i was little me and my friend almost of kidnapped by some guy in a old rundown delivery truck anyway me and my friend had run out to the front of my house were we saw the truck i don't remember it all but i was very little then but somhow me friend was in the front of the truck looking at all the buttens and thingies and i was about to step in it lucky for us right then my mom had come around the corner of the house and told us to get off lucky we got off ok and were safe.

  • say no to video games with bad graphics!

  • @hplexmark1 O_o

  • this what facebook needs?

  • WTF.

  • I can't resist a stranger with a British accent...

  • What a great thing to teach children. "You know the policeman." Great, kids, that means DON'T question authority, ever.

  • ooh this is so emotionally engaging! and is that Brenda Blethyn academy award nominee as the policewoman?!

  • Never had peados in my day! had to buy my own bloody sweets!!!!

  • Whats the deal with the UK version of Godzilla?

  • mmmmm..........strangers got some good fudgin candy........

  • the boy who was running at 2:02 had already seen the man lol

  • Good of them to include The Sweeney at the beginning. Duncan Preston (the stranger) also played a baddie in a Professionals episode from 1978. BTW how many of you remember a cop series actually called Strangers? It ran from 1978-82 and starred Don Henderson as DCI Bulman.

  • Yes I've met all of those people!

  • And people worry about the safety of their kids now? ... The 1980s were a scary, scary time.

  • if you look in description it says 1981 british film lol

  • Her mom was cute LOL

  • well this is embarrassing,,,,,,,*cough* lets sing a song about strangers everybody! strangers r nasty, strangers are ugly, strangers are rude and mostly of allllll *silence* starngers a FUGLY!

  • WTF is going on from 0:52 to 01:07! scary

  • @MattTheGodOfTime It's a clip from the film "At The Earth's Core".

  • okay, i'm sorry, but if you're stupid enough to get in the car, RUN when he lets you out. I'm really glad I've never been in her situation. Although fictional, I can't imagine what the mom was going through.

  • This is one of the worst DISinformation films ever made. It turned children into paranoid and self-absorbed creatures. If anything, kids are in FAR more danger from people they know and trust - people like teachers, scout and guide leaders, youth group leaders, choirmasters and priests for instance.

  • A mate of mine when a stranger asked "Will you come in my car for a sweetie?" said "Give me the whole bag and I'll cum in your mouth!". He's well streetwise ;)

  • @rockandrope LOL!

  • @rockandrope thats hilarious! smart guy tho:)

  • @rockandrope aha we've all seen that stand up act by......uh who was it again?

  • @rockandrope Was this back in the day, or was this a recent "post information age" thing that he was inspired by the internet to do?

  • @MIKON8ERISBACK It was back in the day.... circ. early '80s

  • My parents bought this, made a copy, and gave it to my school...all the kids in school knew where it came from and whose parents were responsible for us having to watch it...

  • Is the man in the blue car in Emmerdale?

  • When I was at school the teachers actually taught us not to trust teachers! If a teacher ever offered you a lift, don't get in the car.

  • @iheartldn i got in my teachers car in the 5th grade cuz my mom wasn't there to pick me up after the monterey bay aqaurium field trip... O_O

  • off topic but also look at how CRAP the cars look there like been tins on wheels I bet they really were naff as fuck to drive as well

  • the little arcade game thing jogged my memory of watching this in school when i was about 5 what the hell is with the robbery and the demon things at the start did they like get the film strips mixed up in the editing room

  • @hod05 u might not be able to heart it, cause it took me a while to understand but the guys like: in media, u can tell who the bad guy is

  • They need to put these back on tv! It certainly sank into our heads in the eighties! The stranger bloke is in Emerdale now and the mum is Stacies mum in Eastenders!

  • Please do not laugh. If you are a parent (especially of a preschooler) talk to your child over and over and over about saying no to strangers! Please, this is not to be laughed at.

  • @Lucailey hahahahaha, you are so naive! Kids are in MORE danger from trusted community members than people that they don't know. Wake up and read the statistics!!

  • the first movie scared me...

  • This is a rather scary stranger danger video. Glad I never saw this one, though the ones I saw were pretty tense as well

  • OMG I remember seeing this in first grade!!!!!

  • I remember being shown this in early years primary school, in 82/83 or there abouts. Of course, I didn't know it was Duncan Acorn Antiques who was the "stranger".

  • The videogame-style graphics made to appeal to my young 80s mind caught my attention. I can watch this 'till Blue Peter comes on.

  • Yes, teachers, cops and milkmen have never abused anyone have they now?!

  • what the hell....

  • Say no to the clothing fashions and hairstyles of the early 1980's!

  • The European siren is absolutely annoying.

  • THE GUYS A PEDO HES ALSO AN ASS LOL

  • @littlemissbratz1

OMG YOU USE CAPSLOCK TO MAKE YOURSELF LOOK MORE IMPORTANT THAN YOU ACTUALLY ARE LOL

But seriously, was there any point in that comment?

  • I have to say, the nonce has good taste.

  • Heres how you know if ur cop is a stranger

1 he might stop you from walking and say:where do you live missy??

2 he might say Where are ur parents? if ur alone i can take care of you

    or any other suspiciouse things

    :) thanks for reading

  • willy wanter in the blue car......

  • The black girl says the car was dark blue but it was clearly light blue lol.

  • That's the problem w/ eye witnesses, they may make mistakes, or forget and simply guess.

  • @TheNightWriter101 no the hell it wasn't. it was clearly DARK blue

  • Are you colour blind or something? the car is sky blue, ie light blue.

  • I love how the narrator goes mental with the 8-bit 'right' and 'wrong' parts.

    'WRONG.'

    'Right. Right! RIGHT!'

  • Stan from 'Dinnerladies'

  • It's Duncan Preston!!

These seem dated now, but they were pretty effective back then.

  • That IS terrifying - definitely shouldn't go with him!!!!

  • i know that fucker , hes living in emmerdale now , im phonin plod !!!!!!!

  • what the hell is with the guys fighting rubber dragons

what does that have to do with having sex with kids?

  • same thing happened to me: I was in the movie theatre with my friends and i asked if one of my friends knew where the bathroom was and this guy grabs my hand and hes like "I'll show you." luckily my frinds mom came back in and the guy ran away.

  • no way i watched this in school when i was like 5
