hey genius "Professional Cal. .45" is the exact marking you will find on the Springfield Armory Tactical which is the real steel version of this pistol. The U.S, Marine Corps markings are there to add a custom feel, which is not uncommon even for real steel weapons. But hey, what do I know. I keep forgetting that playing with Airsoft guns makes you an expert in firearms and tactical warfare. Do your homework buddy.

guys the fps is obviously gonna be different then yours, gas guns are effected drastically by the cold, if it was cold in the review then the fps will drop with the temp.

What original markings? They're markings of the United States Marine Corps. And besides, they're many compaines that manufacture the 1911. This is the Marine Expeditionary Unit model.

ohhh. You should specify the gun your talking about cause I thought you where talking about the airsoft model not the real .45 weapon. Since the real gun has a single stack mag, it doesn't hold that much. Since Colt is not the only one that makes the actual weapon then you can find real ones that have more ammo mags.

Gas guns work so much better in warmer climates. Higher temperature=higher pressure=stronger blowback and more power.

These guns get up to 380FPS on green gas with proper sealing where Im from. :)

i would recomend a kj works m1911 para ordinance, unfortunatly i just just learned that it is discontinued. but for around 130 dollars you get full metal and some autentic markings and 320 fps, check out my airsoft channel airsoftfan249 i will be doin a review of my 1911 aft er it gets fixed. its broken rite now

Thsi is MadBull, SOCOMGEAR use our .22 Gemtech silencer, do you guys know why? because it is much lighter and dia is smaller. So, it won't lower the performance. and you can still see the front sights. We did provide .45 Gemtech silencer to SOCOMGEAR but it is too heavy and you can't see the front sight an ymore. :)

indeed. was thinking too much ahead when doing the review about the .45/.22 problem of the gun/silencer and that the real MEU(SOC) usually dont have the Marines Logo + MEU (SOC) engraved, but the standard "Springfield Armory" markings. So either they do all markings correct or non, but this mix is weird

I own this and it's actually a really good gun. I use Red Gas or Propane, nice accuracy and about 310fps. Good for close range (that's what a pistol is for right?). The price is right too! The (fake) silencer is cool, but doesn't fit in my SERPA :(

It's not a fixed rail. You can buy add-on rails for M1911s not already equipped with one. The real steel add-on rails are not cheap though. A few airsoft one are available for somewhere around $20. I wish they did have a black one with a fixed rail.
