@PeteTheMallard football plays are more complicated than basketball plays. just the mechanics of offensive line defensive line is as hectic as a 5v5 situation on a basketball court.

RMoody, I'm glad you buy the Madden Next gen games to show everyone what is wrong with them. It seems EA could care less how horrible this game has become. I haven't bought one next gen Madden, I even got Madden 10 for free and maybe played it twice. Sadly I don't see madden getting much better this gen, so I'll probably never buy it.

I could tolerate flaws and cheating by the CPU if there was another company that made a football game with an NFL license. That way I could compare and contrast the games and pick which style I liked better. But with EA NFL exclusivity....what is the point of buying the game each year. There is no real incentive to overhaul anything or fix recurring problems.

I agree with the Spiker guy. I wont buy another Madden game until EA relinquishes the exclusive NFL license. Until i can see what other companies can do with a football game...I won't buy madden or NCAA.

although im not a supporter and i dont have much proof cause i dont own either madden i played madden 10 and 11 once lol the difference between 11 and 10 to me was actually noticable i was surprised in 10 i ran one of my favorite plays against cover 2 the ball was overthrown yet i linebacker not even faceing the ball jumped abnormally high and one hand picked me. ran the same in 11 completed the pass lol one example out of my short gameplay i know but i was glad no bs happend

Madden 08 is the only decent title of all 7 titles released. The reason why the game is decent....Because APF 2k8 was released and EA had to put forth a modest effort for the consumers. If we honestly want change from EA, this is what must happen: DO NOT BUY MADDEN 12!!! PERIOD!!!! Otherwise expect the same game in a new package.

I hate how Madden tries to hide its flaws by having players drop on the ground after plays. It's the game's way of attempting to turn ugly programming into a somewhat realistic situation, since the human player will be more apt to find forgiveness in a confused player if they fall to the ground.

It's situations like that that reek of Madden's deceit. The game just feels like a big lie. Meanwhile, they continue to target the casual audiences, evidenced by all their commercials. It's disgusting.

This is the first years Madden that I did not buy. I rented it (twice now) and I hated it. I played off line and thought - I have to play man defense all game just to stand a chance. I played it online and thought - there's no defense in this game. There isn't. They took a shit game and added more shit.

The truth, as always. Madden has turned into an animation driven engine that can't keep up with itself. I've been playing Madden 2005 and that game is FUN. Pure FUN. It was some flaws, clipping issues and such. But animation glitches and issues are much lower than what Madden has now. You can't just perform a juke move and hope the animation lets you escape. In Madden 2005, if you get touched, you go down. No ridiculous piling animations that you break out of.
