for anyone trying to fix this on their computer, the man who fixes all viruses on my computer says that rootkits go o deep into the hardrive that it is almost guarantee'd that you will need a professional to get it off. soooo...programs like this obviously arent going to work.
Thank you for this! This is exactly what happened on my work computer after a "new" employee decided to load ALL of my pending windows updates at once... grrr... but WHAT IS THE FIX? Really do not want to wipe this hard drive clean...
TDL3 Rootkit (known as Alureon) should have been removed by Microsoft Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool according to its official specification. It is installed as a Windows Update and runs and scans regulary in the background.

i had that rookit u cant remove it or cure it cause i cure it with dr.wed and then i restarted and had the blue scream of death
