To be honest I wouldn't imagine it working that great with a bunch of pedals. There is no loop so putting delay / chorus etc in front of an overdriving amp like this would sound bad in my opinion. Then again I'm not a big effects guy.
I guess one would have to ask, 'What type of pedals?'
If you are talking modulation type effects I think it would struggle as there is no loop and things get dirty pretty quickly. Any In-Line pedals I would imagine would all do well. However there is all the gain you need on tap. I wouldn't think you would need a OD or a Tubescreamer.
depends on the settings on the amp. If I turn the gain up all the way on the od channel there is some hum but it wouldn't put me off. To be honest I wouldn't have the gain up all the way anyway. If you are unsure take it back to the store and try another.
Sounds killer! My only doubt is to get a clean tone with good volume.... i know tha isn´t the spot of this amp the clean tone... is imposible to get an amp with perfect clean, cruch and distortion tone... great review!!! congrats
Thanks for the kind comments. You got me thinking... I would wager a bet that you could get any sound out of this amp from 60's right up to today.
In fact I'll upload a video of this amp taking it from the 1960's to today using a few different guitars. I'll try to throw in some appetite stuff! LOL.
@chooseyourblues That would be great! You've almost convinved me to sell my Marshall Haze 15 and go for a HT1R... My Haze is way too loud to only use at home and just can't get enough gain out of it for an AFD tone. My only worry is that 1 watt would not be loud enough!
Would this take a wah pedal?
It's the only effect I'm really intrested in, but if it can't I might not get one:(

Awesome review - best I've seen on YouTube!
btw can you get a decent Slash AFD tone from this amp? I was hoping for some slash riffs when you clicked on the wah :)
