  • Ive watched this at least 10 times. This is music and talent.

  • At 3.52 to 4.22 he does it like he loves it. Must be nice!!!

  • I'm singing this for choir :) such a catchy song!!

  • At 4:50 when the dixieland stomp gets going, that is REAL jazz!

  • Why do so many on Youtube write "A Plenty", rather than "Aplenty?

  • @turnitback Because the music is published that way. You can see the cover page on several arrangements at sheetmusicplus. com.

  • @hereinweymouth Thank you. I hadn't considered the possibility that the publishers themselves had perpetuated such a mistake.

  • very old tune by Ben Pollack in the 1920's back when Benny Goodman had just begun, playing in Ben Pollack's orch. Glenn Miller also played with Ben Pollack.

  • @JRussoBuffaloNY Didn't Gene Krupa play with Pollock for a while? I think I remember reading this somewhere.

  • wonderfoul ,

  • Yea why not more views? This is as classic Dixie as it gets!!! The ending where they all tear loose is astounding!!

  • Unfortunatley Dixie does not always gather as much attention as it deserves.

The two playing Trombone and Trumpet are friends of mine, and I've driven Tony (tpt) to rehearsals many times when he was not in right health to drive. I did not know he was such a kicikin' improviser....of course I knew Nash was a great dixie improv guy and also great swing playing! Like having a supercharged Teagarden around.

Benny sounds great as does Teddy. I wish I could have been there. Some great stuff

  • That's a winner!!

  • this is absolutely great. i dont understand why it has so few views :-(

  • @pianoplayer1224 because lady stupid gaga gets them all

  • @pianoplayer1224 because its a dixieland song and from the jazz era not to many youths like jazz

  • all the series are EXELLENTE
