I went to Arcade Elementary starting in 1957. Our Girl Scout troop was on the Captain Sacto show. For some reason I thought of him today and Googled him. Great to hear from some of his other fans.
My Dad worked at McClellan forever until he retired, Captain Sacto was my favorite. He even announced my birthday and where to find my present in 1957. It happened to be my first two wheel bike !!
I went to Arcade Elementary school in the 1950's and got to appear on the Captain Sacto show- even had the honor of recitin g the birthday list by his desk. What a thrill!
Also got to met him at a personal appearence at Rhodes department store when he was giving away balsa wood toy airplanes and autographs-he was an early icon for me...
Thank you so much for posting this! I grew up watching Captn. Sacto, even met him when I was about 6 years old! Yeah I'm feeling pretty old right about now!

Captain Sacto is my first memory of an afternoon kids show. It was fun seeing this.

Went to Edison Elementary in the Early '60s. Got to be on his show; I think it was the Captain Sacto-Skipper Stu Show by then. Thanks for the memory!
