I think they (HP) should focus more on advertising their product and availability to make their product success. They also should focus on software robustness, fluidity of motion, responsive experince. Last but not least, HP should focus on build quality, it is very important, becoz it is one of the selling point.

You are wrong about the display being the best you have seen so far on a tablet. The display on the iPad 2 and Galaxy Tab 10.1 are better, Consumer Reports even tested it.

I've been following this for over 5 months now and I thought I ready to purchase the Toshiba Thrive since it has all the connectivity I was looking for out of the box. At the same time, my first impression at the store with hands on the HP, I thought it had potential too but I just felt it was missing something for me. I like its multitasking OS capabilities, however. What to do? *sigh*

Wow, BP310, I am a little shocked that you would recommend this ahead of some of the more recent Android tablets such as Samsung Galaxy 10.1 and Toshiba Thrive. Basically, I disagree with your recommendation because of the notable system bugs. I think you said it best, "it has potential." Potential in my book does not mean buy now. Thanks for the review though.

@placeinheaven By using your logic, Honeycomb "has potential" as well. I totally agree with what BP310 says about it. It's buggy, AND laggy. Face facts, Honeycomb was released in beta stage and a few months later, it's still in beta stage even with the 3.1 update. I've spent some time with webOS and yes it is laggy but it's much more stable and even though it's only been available for a short time there are tons more tablets apps available for it.

good review, unbiased......... They've had long enough to iron out the bugs in my opinion which makes you wonder why it took so long to release... I own the ipad 1 but have converted to Android (simply because i hate being tied to itunes to move anything)... how is webos at transferring music/video files from a windows pc?

@freddynz It's pretty much like Android. When you plug it in to your computer you will have access to the SD Card and can manually organize all your files.

@BlackPrince310 then its actually better than Android in that regard, as even with 3.1 Android has a hard time fully accessing the micro SD card, esp in windows. It's prob fair enough for WebOs to still have some bugs when you think of the ones Android still has, mind you i have faith in Google in that they will quickly develope an operation system that'll leave the rest in the dust. Since using Andriod I'm finding Ios on my Ipad plain boring !

@BlackPrince310 Hmmmmmm yep Apple does have all the cool apps ATM though in reality 95% are only good initially for their novelty factor... hate to think the number of apps ive d/loaded for iphone/ipad that i've used once and never again ! The advantage of that though is knowing the type of apps you actually will use (including the type of games that you might play more than once)... Android though certainly lacks a good office app (their own one is just a shortcut to their webpage, shameful)

webOS has always been the best ever since they released the Pre... I really like how HP is competing with the iPad in the sense of the design and the software. Just give it a little time for the App Store to develop a bit. But still I choose the iPad 2.
