No its not a drug. The sole definition of drug is a habit forming illict substance or naurcotic. Marijuana is not habit forming and is also not a naurcotic. Therefore cannot be a drug. It is an illegal substance but it is not a drug.
Actually marijuana can be habit forming, but only mentally. A person who smokes every day is going to feel uncomfortable when they stop, but nowhere near as bad as someone who stops long-term use of opiates like Oxycontin, Vicodin or heroin.
In other words, there are no physical withdrawals, but some people might feel mentally dependent on it, especially the altered mind-state.

@Nigganoteventryin dude that's such a lie. I am a pharmacist and I know how different drugs effect the body. Caffeine is not extremely addictive and it has very few withdrawl symptoms. Pot kills over 100,000 people world wide each year.

I'm not even going in to the list of diseases and disorders that sufferers severely benefit from through cannabis use, there are too many to mention. Where did you get your false facts? NO ONE HAS EVR DIED FROM CANNABIS USE. And yes, caffeine is addictive, and its withdrawal symptoms include severe headaches, insomnia, and anxiety just to name a few

During that time, I have learned how just about every chemical that the body can ingest effects it, and yes marijuana effects it in a negative way, and worse than caffeine. Please watch this documentary about medicinal cannabis, these FACTS come from 30+ years of government research, and show that heavy marijuana use daily does not cause decreased lung function or increase the chance of getting lung cancer, even after 15 YEARS. And NOBODY HAS DIED FROM CANNABIS USE, EVER.

We put them in separate 10x10 clear glass cages where marijuana fumes were introduced to each chamber. After 5 minutes in the fumes, we released them from their cages and let them run around outside in a 30x25 recess area. We observed them through hidden cameras. 10 cats experienced paranoia and fear. Bare in mind, if this officer observed you smoking marijuana and you choose to run, his duty would require him to give chase or draw his service weapon and shoot you to death. If he didn't, he could pay a heavier penalty than he faces for evidence pilfering in a felony case. That is what he faced her but of course this individual is still on the force. He was not disciplined for drug use or evidence pilfering. Not only is he a police officer, he's a member of a labor union.
