What is definition of earn? Why does the investment of capital automatically mean you are given a greater share of profit, more so than those who actually perform the labor. The gov't took our rise in wages from industry in the form of taxes, essentially displacing the worker. As a silent partner in industry at 33% of net, it left little room for raises that would also have to be matched in SS, unemployment ins, etc, etc.

What is definition of earn? Why does the investment of capital automatically mean you are given a greater share of profit, more so than those who actually perform the labor. Americans work longer hours, for less pay, take less vacation time, then any other western industrialized nation, and what do the majority have to show for it. The majority of the profits go to the investors of capital, while those who invest life, health, and the well being of their families get squat.

In 2007 the statistics for wealth distribution showed that 93% of the wealth was in 20% of the population, on top of this, over 40% was is in just one percent of the population, these numbers are staggering. I dont think Mr. Moran wants to redistribute the wealth completely, and have everyone have the same amount of money as would a socialist party. Socialist parties will never work they destroy the race to make money which in turn destroys the race to advance which makes our society lag behind.

Funny thing is... they are not only taxing the corporations heavily... they are wanting to increase the taxes on the small businesses to pay for their pet projects. Cutting the income of small businesses is cutting the purchasing power of the people who actually work and support our economy. This moron probably never worked a real job in his entire life. Much easier to give away money when you don't have to pay taxes on anything.

I am 'Middle Class', genius. I earned 53K last year. I DO NOT want the government coming into my place of employment and telling my boss that he makes 'too much' money. I do not want the government taking money from my boss and handing it out to others (who did nothing to earn it).

I would be considered poor by any scale. But when I become wealthy, and I will I will do so of my own work and not through robbing others of their hard earned money. I don't want handouts when I'm here, and when I reach higher incomes I won't be giving any handouts either. You know its funny. Statistically speaking conservatives donate almost twice as much to charity as liberals do. You don't want to hand out your own money fingefries, do you. You want to force everyone else to give out theirs.

Never said a classless society was possible. However, the possibility of an extra-terrestrial civilization that is not class driven is still a possibility. I am not a Utopian I am a pragmatist who believes in a kind of re-distribution through investment in the middle class. I also know from experience that people like you won't spend any tax incentive immediately, but giving it to you in the form of a tax credit for a start up business and infrastructure spending is just plain smart.
