As for home grown criminals...well there are criminals and sick people everywhere. I can bring up instances of muslims cutting off the noses of women, throwing acid on their faces, stonning them to death, killing a woman for not bearing a male son. Sad thing is that things like that happen far too often in muslim countries compared to what you mentioned.
