I love Anthony Weiner but he's far too progressive to run for President currently. Hopefully in 10-20 years, the country will be ready for him. I do hope he runs for NY Senator or governor.

Weiner, no one wants the status quo. And I like your passion, but keep it measured. The fact is, your brand of preventative care (hiring bureaucrats to spread a pro-health message, I guess is what you're saying) is not cost-effective. The fact is, the free market is already providing people with good preventative care measures. It's called the alternative health industry and it encompasses health food stores, gyms, yoga, reiki, naturopathic doctors etc. The free market has it handled.

What we know is 18,000 to 22,000 die because of the lack of insurance or denial of coverage. Knowing that fact there is no moral argument opposing reforms NONE!!!!! Health Care For Patients, NOT For Profit because Health Care For Profit is Health Care DENIED.

Under NO CIRCUMSTANCES should an insurance middleman come between a patient and his/her doctor - particularly, if the insurance middleman stands to gain from it.

To put it simply, IT'S A CONFLICT OF INTEREST.

Insurance has no business being in Health Care. They contribute nothing towards it. NOTHING!

Thank you for standing up for what is right. The fact that healthcare is 1/6 of our economy is immoral. We are putting prices on people's lives and congress has sat around for too long and let the insurance companies take advantage of american consumers. they are the ones causing people to die b/c they deny treatment. our businesses and our economy is at a global disadvantage because many other industrialized nations have some form of a single payer system

I work in the health system and this country DOESN'T have a preventive system,that's why we got so many sick, they still don't understand that if you take care of people at the beginning of their diseases you will save a bunch of money later on cause it won't require extreme medical procedures
