@akumatiti well as a hardcore cure fan i would say wild mood swings is one of there best, songs like this is a lie,want,jupitar crash,bare are awsome, saddly most of the best tracks from the recording of that album become bsides like the songs adonais and it used to be me, so in a way i can see how it could of been a better album if compiled right. same deal happened with wish aswell, it had heaps of bsides that where better then the album tracks

This is the most unusual Cure song, but is one of the more beautiful. You are not "The Only One" :-) to love the "Wild Mood Swings" album. This songs (together with Bare, Jupiter Crash...) is full of a poetic and magic mood; very "French chansonnier" oriented. The album widenes the stilistic sphere of The Cure, even if (to be honest) some songs are not "The Top" of their inspiration... I like.

WMS is probably my second favorite album, WISH being number one. It was much better than the 2004 album and probably the best band lineup that they've ever had, except for missing Porl.

I don't understand why Wild Mood Swings got so underrated and in fact even dismissed by so many fans? It is a great album. Yes, it is different. So what? It is a million times better than The Cure's self-titled 2004 album which is arguably their one and only worst album ("Worst", I mean, by Cure standards. It was mediocre, in reality, with hardly three good songs.)
