Well, everybody's saying it's a party game. It basically is...but it actually controls EXACTLY like the earlier games. They didn't dumb down the controls or anything, which is why it's so awesome.

ha i say dont buy it unless u have 4 good friends lol cuz its way more fun that way and basicaly its a game were u pick whoever u wanna play as and u can customize their clothes/weapons but u have to unlock them and pretty cool cutscenes its fun for awhile but once u beat it kinda boring i'd say buy it =) cuz if u liek ape escape this games for you ive got all the games except for the second ape escape =(

amvMaker245  It is a good gam, but i would recommend Million Monkeys because it's sort of like this except in Million Monkeys you catch monkeys and you get to choose more characters (like Specter ). While Pumped and Prime is like a party game.

I searched Million Monkeys after you brought it up since I never heard of it...and it looks AWESOME...why the heck would they not release it outside of Japan? I would have rather had that and waited for Ape Escape 3, since apparently that's why they canceled it...
