I do not follow Eckankar but I know at least 20 who do. From what I can see, this religion teaches nothing but Love and compassion, transforms people into holding a great capacity for Love and allows people to freely come and go as they please. If it's not for you then don't practice it. Spewing negativity about another religion says more about the person spewing than the religion.

Paul Mitchell took ideas from the true path of Radhasoami Satsang and attempted to create his own path. Your current "master" Klemp cannot help you on your path. You must find the guidance of a master or you will find your path impossible to follow.

I am an expert in the research and have followed Lane for years, as well as Rick Ross. I could write their books for them. I am an Eckist and chant the Hu. There are traditions around the world that Chant the HU. The definition of "fraud" needs to be understood, Time and Space, for example, is a fraud.

I was one of the last people to see Twitchell alive and the 3rd to see him dead. A high initiate and Twitch's girlfriend had to clean her stuff out of his room before the paramedics came. The same night Gail Twitchell was 'in the mountains' with Darwin Gross. A month later she named Darwin the next Master and a year later they married.

I was raised in Eck, and chose not to pursue it in adult life. I can assure you that I was never once treated as na inferior or as less of a person because of my personal decisions. Eckists are, in my vast experience(my mother is a 7th) some of the nicest and most beautiful people in the world. I may disagree with their theology, I can do nothing but agree with the life in which Eckankar promotes. I hope that all who search for peace find it. I have found my peace elsewhere.

There's a particular video about Enkakar on here, I forget where about their temple. When I listened to it, I realised the soundtrack was using Binural Beats on it. That video didn't say they were doing that, I could definatly feel it. I've been using binuar beats for 7 years now, and those videos from the Eck organisation definatly use binural beats on them, grrrrrrrr.
This only has less than 40 000 members, not as big as scientology. Good video. I was looking into this group myself, I look into alot of groups, but when I do a simple net search there's always something that turns up exposing it for evil. I realise that the answer will only be in myself, and I should stop searching outside of myself in people or groups.
From my research I've come to the same revelation as you have.
Because the founder of Eck was a former Scientologist, there are Scientologists who see their group is evil at the top and then join Eck. This is unfortunate as they were so close to freedom from cult structure.
Once you start searching in yourself it opens up a window of spirituality you can see in the world like never before. You also have more potential for successes since you are going with your own innovated initiatives. This process is greatly interesting for me, as I was once a Scientologist.

You're not very familiar with your "religion's" teachings. I can give hundreds of similar quotes. And Ekult's "god" Sugmad is "higher" than the false god of all other religions. That's in the "teachings" too.
The Mahanta is what we call the Inner Master and like a prophet of God. Twitchell is NOT talking about the Mahanta as a human, though by how he wrote it, I can see how you could misconstrue the meaning. If you want to believe that, that is your choice, but that is not how I interpret it. You can go on for hours, days, weeks, months, and years denouncing my religion and my beliefs, but that isn't going to change the faith I have in my own heart. That's what faith IS.
If you are an Eckist ask yourself this, have you ever seen an Eck master ? Rebasar Tarz, Fubbi Quanz,or any of the other Eck masters pictured in the Eck satsangs, have you ever seen a spiritual city on Venus? Have you ever seen any of the temples of golden wisdom? for a non profit religious organisation they make a huge amount of money with a membership cost of American $130 a year, thats American $4,680 000 a year or $46,800000 every 10 years, not including book sales. In the book The Eck vidya, Paul Twitchell claims there is a spiritual city called Retz on Venus, with a spiritual temple made of a glass like material, it's 460 degrees celcius on Venus, the rocks are so hot they would not only fry an egg but completley vaporize it, a human standing on Venus would be sizzled , crushed by the gravitational density and asphixiated by the sulphuric acid atmosphere.
In the Eck vidya, Paul Twitchell claims that at the present time there is a race of people living on Jupiter who will descend to the Earth in year 2100, but the radiation belts on Jupiter ar 100 times stronger than that lethal to humans.

Nothing on the physical plane (earth+) is perfect and neither is the physical organization of Eckankar.
I studied the religion many years ago when I was a teenager. Somehow as I got older I lost my sight of the concepts and views. And as my life became more hectic, I became more disgusted with life. I found the ECK again by chance. On the verge of depression I dialed the number 1-800-lovegod; not knowing this was the number for Eckankar. Thank you ECKANKAR!

I got into Eckankar, I decided it wasnt for me and is to unorthodox in its ideas of spirtualism as far as what I believe in my heart, however, Eckankar led me onto other journeys of finding myself and my spiritualim. I ended up becoming a follower of gnosticism and wholely believe it is the way for me personally and I have been happy ever since!
Oh, and on the money bit - it is a suggested donation, and I've never gotten the feeling that I'd be frowned upon if I didn't pay the yearly membership fee. I give, but I give a little. Besides, you know how much it costs to publish those books and hold those seminars? The money goes back into the organization... not into the pockets of the organizations leaders and figureheads.
It's not for everyone, and I don't mean that this is the best path there is, and others haven't woken up to it yet - I really feel that you can reach truth many ways... but this is the one that works for me.
I've been an Eckist all my life - and being born into the teaching didn't stop me from questioning it. I explored other teachings and shuned ECKANKAR for a while as a sham, but I came back - because I realized that it was the path that worked for me the best. My life was better because of it, I really did have a greater awareness of things and could lead a happier, more sucessful and fulfilling life because of this path.

By services I meant the seminars that are held around the world. The rental of the space and putting on the program costs money. The temple of ECK cost money to build and maintain.

I actually only learned about Eckankar, today and after only a few minutes on the wikipedia article about them I could tell that it was a scheme to make money as it originally was a business before it was a religion. To be honest, it doesn't sound much better then Scientology.

I love Eckankar. I can tell you its not about money. The membership fee is very low and includes mailings etc. There are no expensive classes and people with reduced funds can ask for lowered rates.

I did sing hu, after going to your website to figure that out, and what I got back from my meditation was that Eckankar was not a path of the highest truth, and it was baseless. Interestingly enough, I also received confirmation that the members were amazing people, dedicated, but in a delusion, I felt sad for them and I had to stop at that point.
So I did what you asked, and I got more than I expected. Hmmm, well moving...
The beauty of it all is that everyone's free to choose another path if they don't like Eckankar. Good luck trying to make it to the highest spiritual states without a master. The question then is, what do you look for in a master? There are many to choose from. Klemp is an excellent example of a true master, imho.
I've been involved in Eckankar for 35 years and personally know over a thousand people who are members. These are some of the finest people on earth. People of tremendous integrity. They walk the talk of a person who puts love first in their life, above everything else. They would be the first to give the credit to Eckankar and the Eck Masters. Wrong on every single point. Sri Harold does not require obedience, worship etc. It is an individual's choice at all times. Yes we do have our own terminology, but who doesn't? And I repeat, in ECKANKAR one is not required to suspend disbelief; try it; if it works for you, great, and if not, then see you later, but why do you have to advertise the fact that it didn't work? Typical approach to any new religions that emerge. Most likely put together by a Christian organization. The funny thing is, how reliable are the sources that wrote the Bible? Was anyone around to check for plagarism or the credibility of these incredible stories? I do not follow Eckankar but I know at least 20 who do. From what I can see, this religion teaches nothing but Love and compassion, transforms people into holding a great capacity for Love and allows people to freely come and go as they please. If it's not for you then don't practice it. Spewing negativity about another religion says more about the person spewing than the religion.

Paul Mitchell took ideas from the true path of Radhasoami Satsang and attempted to create his own path. Your current "master" Klemp cannot help you on your path. It has been documented on other websites that Twitchell plagarized. Hu is actually a name that another religion chant. The name eckankar comes from the sanskrit mantra ek ong kar. All you have to do is study a little history to find the origins but those who practice Eck give simplistic answers. I asked where does it come from and they a said it is an ancient name for god. I don't care how ancient it is everything has a history or origin. People by these one line answers and get hooked.

If your looking for spiritual experiences and spiritual freedom and or if you have already had spiritual experiences and desire to go deeper into God's love...Eckankar has helped thousands do that. There are traditions around the world that Chant the HU. The definition of "fraud" needs to be understood, Time and Space, for example, is a fraud.

I was one of the last people to see Twitchell alive and the 3rd to see him dead. A high initiate and Twitch's girlfriend had to clean her stuff out of his room before the paramedics came. The same night Gail Twitchell was 'in the mountains' with Darwin Gross. A month later she named Darwin the next Master and a year later they married.

I was raised in Eck, and chose not to pursue it in adult life. I can assure you that I was never once treated as na inferior or as less of a person because of my personal decisions. Eckists are, in my vast experience(my mother is a 7th) some of the nicest and most beautiful people in the world. I may disagree with their theology, I can do nothing but agree with the life in which Eckankar promotes. I hope that all who search for peace find it. I have found my peace elsewhere.

I was an Eckist for almost 3 decades, and now have chosen to find the truth that is within me, and everyone else, on my own. No one ever tried to stop me.
My entire time in Eckankar, I also have to say, that not once, was I treated with anything but respect and love.
Not a cult in any form, and if I couldn't afford yearly membership fees, they never denied me discourses, which always impressed me.
Some of my best friends now, I met on this path, and they remain some of the nicest people.

Every time higher truth has been presented to mankind throughout history, it has met with opposition by people like the makers of this tape. They hide their real agendas. There's a particular video about Enkakar on here, I forget where about their temple. When I listened to it, I realised the soundtrack was using Binural Beats on it. That video didn't say they were doing that, I could definatly feel it. I was looking into this group myself, I look into alot of groups, but when I do a simple net search there's always something that turns up exposing it for evil. On the contrary, those "experiences" are quite common and I learned they had nothing to do with ekult or its false "masters". You can be deceived on the "inner" as well as the "outer", and ekult does both. Twitch is still a lying deceptive con artist, but he's based on the lower astral now. I would like to say that regardless of what other people say about my religion, I know in my own heart that the meaning of life is to learn how to give and receive divine love.
I also want to say that it is not part of the ECK teachings to "surrender" to anyone but God, and I believe that all religions, including Christianity, teach that.

The Mahanta is what we call the Inner Master and like a prophet of God. Twitchell is NOT talking about the Mahanta as a human, though by how he wrote it, I can see how you could misconstrue the meaning. If you want to believe that, that is your choice, but that is not how I interpret it. You can go on for hours, days, weeks, months, and years denouncing my religion and my beliefs, but that isn't going to change the faith I have in my own heart. That's what faith IS.

for a non profit religious organisation they make a huge amount of money with a membership cost of American $130 a year, thats American $4,680 000 a year or $46,800000 every 10 years, not including book sales. I'm not stuck in the passions of the mind and I have expirienced Eckankar, I studied the Eck books for 6 years, practiced the spiritual exersizes and attended an Eck satsang regularly, and I do recognize love very clearly thank you.I'm not speaking ill of Eckankar I'm stating a fact. Eckankar is very persausive and tricky, I was almost sucked in luckily I never parted with my money even though I studied the books for 6 years, always learning that total obidience and surrender was the only way to God, convincing people that anyone who spoke against Eckankar where really the voices of Kal Niranjan (Satan)who are only there to take believes away from Eckankar the true path to God.

In the book The Eck vidya, Paul Twitchell claims there is a spiritual city called Retz on Venus, with a spiritual temple made of a glass like material, it's 460 degrees celcius on Venus, the rocks are so hot they would not only fry an egg but completley vaporize it, a human standing on Venus would be sizzled , crushed by the gravitational density and asphixiated by the sulphuric acid atmosphere.

I got into Eckankar, I decided it wasnt for me and is to unorthodox in its ideas of spirtualism as far as what I believe in my heart, however, Eckankar led me onto other journeys of finding myself and my spiritualim. I ended up becoming a follower of gnosticism and wholely believe it is the way for me personally and I have been happy ever since!

Oh, and on the money bit - it is a suggested donation, and I've never gotten the feeling that I'd be frowned upon if I didn't pay the yearly membership fee. I give, but I give a little. Besides, you know how much it costs to publish those books and hold those seminars? The money goes back into the organization... not into the pockets of the organizations leaders and figureheads.

I've been an Eckist all my life - and being born into the teaching didn't stop me from questioning it. I explored other teachings and shuned ECKANKAR for a while as a sham, but I came back - because I realized that it was the path that worked for me the best. My life was better because of it, I really did have a greater awareness of things and could lead a happier, more sucessful and fulfilling life because of this path.

I love Eckankar. I can tell you its not about money. The membership fee is very low and includes mailings etc. There are no expensive classes and people with reduced funds can ask for lowered rates.

Interestingly enough, I also received confirmation that the members were amazing people, dedicated, but in a delusion, I felt sad for them and I had to stop at that point.

The beauty of it all is that everyone's free to choose another path if they don't like Eckankar. Good luck trying to make it to the highest spiritual states without a master. The question then is, what do you look for in a master? There are many to choose from. Klemp is an excellent example of a true master, imho.

Was anyone around to check for plagarism or the credibility of these incredible stories? I am an ex-Eckist who still does the spiritual exercizes every day, though I am not involved in the organization. I never was threatened nor felt any pressure to stay in the teaching. You can find lies and distortions in the origins of every teaching. Any path is only a vehicle. You use it to the extent it serves your spiritual unflding, and then move on.
