@42CaratGold sure latin and french influenced your language a lot but if you pay close attention to it you'll notice that a whole bunch of "everyday-words" you use isn't comparable to latin(that influenced french way more). BUT you should know that french is also heavily influenced by the (old) German language. Don't forget England and France are words that are created by German tribes(the Franks and Angeln)And France is a descent State of a part of the Franken Empire which was definetly German.

Think of Böhmen which was where Hungary is today or Prussian where Poland and "white russia" is today, these were Germanic regions and they've spoken older German. Your theory of Germanized Slavics only count for the few polish and hungarians who settled here in the last century. But they're probably only resettled "Slavinized" Germanics.

@antarktyka1 by the way, what's wrong with you. Instead of insulting the Germanics and ignoring historical facts you should try to be a friend of your cultural family member. I got no problem with the Polish nor any of the other Slavs. Be proud of your culture but don't be arrogant especially if you can't be sure you are 100% slavic. Imagine you find out that your grandparents have Germanic ancients, would you kill yourself, can you be sure that you aren't insulting your own family, yourself?

@antarktyka1 It's pretty hard to draw a line of "culturalities". I'm pretty convinced that Slavs and Germanics have the same heritage and that this is the reason why they look similar. All northern European nations have native residents with white skin + possible blue-green-brown eyecolors + possible blonde-red-black-brown haircolors. Nowhere on earth are existing natives with other eyecolors than brown and other haircolors than black, we must be a cultural family.
