I found Fable 3 to be abit of a let down. There were thing I really enjoyed about it like the fact that they brang back a final boss fight (Even though he was really easy) The first fable is still the best one in my eyes. Though Fable 3 is the most RPGie of the three. Good game for the fans.

at its very core, this was a brilliant and heartwarming game. but its details (bugs, lack of cinema, lack of leading an army, lack of scene transition, jumpy plot) prevented it from being a masterpiece. its a shame. oh well. still a great game.

Not really. I think you'll still pretty much understand everything happening without having prior game knowledge. Fable 3 takes place 50-ish years after Fable 2, so there's only very loose connections between the two. You play as the son/daughter of the Hero from Fable 2, who's gone (dead) at the start of the game. I played Fable 2 without knowing anything about Fable 1 and still got along perfectly.

@TheRealTwistedBlack Completely agree. Fable I had a very epic, impossible feeling, which made it so great. Fable II was good, but the lack of awesome armor and weapons really detracted from that sort of epicness. Same thing seems to be happening with Fable III. It'll probably be a good solid game, but truly, it won't be able to compare to Fable I.

Actually, if you don't mind listening to my two cents, I think you shouldn't compare Fable 3 so much so to the other two games. And squeal is meant to add on to the series and develop it more. If all you're looking for is the same stuff in Fable 1 all over again, the of course you're going to be disappointed. The series has to change over time. If every Fable game was the exact same thing over and over without anything changed, taken out, or added, then the entire series would rotten
