can't even stand either dominos or pizza hut anymore. Rarely will order it, but I can't stand it. The commercials for them now suck. I'm glad I was born around the 80's, when pizza hut was good. Pizza hut: "Makin' it gross"
@kamo7 because they think it's bad luck because it's black and that's racist because it's just a color! I'm not trying to be racist in any way, shape, or form but I call that cat an African-American cat because in other words, it's just a color. Once again, I'm not being racist!
Thanks to that magnificent black feline @ Shea (likely a hungry hairball over from the "Iron Triangle" who snuck in the stadium) back in '69, AND, the Midwestern version of the "Curse of the Bambino" (1932 Series; Northside players--and fans--were some fucked-up "people" in those days), the bummy cubbies will NEVER win a world championship again. End of story. Yeah, they do have beano-town's golden dildo jew, Theo, right now. But that won't change jack shit at Wrigley!
@Melvinie73 You know, I grew up with this sort of thing and I was thin well into my 20 before I finally put on some weight. No one I knew was fat either. I would say it was because even if we had the giant glass of Pepsi it was once or twice a week and we were outside playing and riding bikes all day.
@harro123 I don't think that's the point. I think that the problem is the possibility of getting a stomachache or not being properly hydrated. Gatorade or just plain water is much better before a game than Pepsi.
I used to remember pizza hut buffets in the 90's. It was just like a restuarant. You could either order a specialty pizza or choose the buffet option. They used to have one down here in miami.
@jargainjones oh yeah pet cemetery I thought they were being racist towards the cat because he was black. That's why I compare black cats to black people to show that it's just a color and not bad luck so he's a Negro cat. Nothing racist intended!
@madrain100 No offense; I didn't mean anything by it; don't worry, I'm not racist! In fact, I'm close friends with alot of African-Americans and Africans.
all the pizza hut resturants with old logos were assome until whe i looked at them again its a new logo im upset old pizza hut is assome and $2.49 pitcher with free refil thats a good price now and i miss the old pepsi logo
I miss seeing the old Pizza Hut logos. Newer isn't always better. The new logo sucks, bring back the old one! There are a few Pizza Huts still around with the old logo / lettering....keep it that way. =) Pizza Hut is THE best pizza out there. Papa John's tastes like cardboard to me and Little Ceasars tastes good, but Pizza Hut's where it's at!
@Synthetrix The difference is, back when this commercial was new Pizza Hut actually made fresh dough for the pizzas, but switched to frozen dough in the mid 90's. They also used to be a real sit down restaurant, not the crappy delivery/take out factories they are now. I guess that's what happens when you're bought by a soda company.
@TR47 I really miss the dine in ones of the 60's and 70's (same with Dairy Queen) but I loved the novelty of a delivery one which had an interesting shape which opened near me in 1994.
@thehoosierfortheUK I know you are making a joke but the reason they were really afraid of the cat, that nobody here understands, is because this was released the time PET CEMETARY was. Go look that movie up, thank me later.
@jargainjones Oh! Okay. I didn't know this. I knew I saw Pet Semetary and it scared the crap out of me,. Especially when little Gage was running around with that scalpel.

Pizza Hut didn't always suck. You could get a decently sized meal with tons of Pepsi, or beer, and the pie didn't taste like garbage on a circle of cardboard, either.
@taledarkside I just miss late 80's, early 90's Pizza Hut in general. It seems impossible to find a sit down Pizza Hut these days. I remember going to Pizza Hut and having the wait staff bring out a pitcher of your choice of soda. Then you would pour it into those dark, red, bumpy drink glasses. They would bring your pizza out sizzling in a black, deep dish. They also had a jukebox with Salt-N-Pepa, Heart, T'Pau and Starship (with the song "Sara"). I was only 9 in 92' but I would kill to go back
@kramnrublaw My Pizza Hut in New York is sit-down, with pitchers, servers and black pans. No jukeboxes, but there are some video games. And thanks for reminding me of T'Pau, I'm listening to "Heart and Soul" now :-)
I remember that Pizza Hut Cooler that they sold that you could buy extra. I wanted one, but mom never got it for me. Watcher, you hit the nail on the head! People ARE TOO TOO caught up into the future now days, and don't take time to stop & remember who made them who they are today, the Great 80's & 90's. I agree, the Pizza Hut logo needed not to change. I liked the original one better, and there's a few Pizza Huts around here that still carry the classic logo.
I wonder if anyone still has those pitchers and goes in there and gets free refills. I would if I could find one and then if they said anything to me, I'd say "Hey, watch the commerical on YouTube dumbass" and then if they said anything else, I'd call corporate on their ass and tell them that.
Not to mention things were more fun, especially the 80's.
A lot of people today take themselves WAY too seriously.
P.S. I miss the old Pizza Hut logo that we see in this commercial. The current logo just feels too commercialized. At least the old logo reminds me of pizza, especially how the Zs they used to spell "Pizza" in the old logo reminds me of melted mozzarella.
The new logo tries too hard, almost as if Pizza Hut suddenly became posers.
