  • beautiful, is this a dan trah instrument ?

  • @birdandthe thank you ^_^ this is an original creation by my good friend and luthier Bryan S. Whelan, basically the sound boards are salvaged from an antiqu koto which then was cut in half, so this is a half size instrument, only 14 strings which are steal w/silk nylon wound. It is a bit of a hybrid between the Chinese zheng and Japanese koto instruments :D Thanks for enjoying my music !

  • so beautiful and creative

    you have true talent

please keep up the great work :)

  • This was beautiful. I love the way your improvisations sound, its amazing what one can do with music and their mind. You are an inspiration for me! Keep up the great improv

  • Astonishing!!!

  • shheezzz...nice, what techniques did u use to develop your improvisation ??? dont tell me practice cuz I've had enough of that. lol. any tips?

  • @funkmasteryellow really listen to your inner voice. listen to the voice of the instrument, have a conversation rather than thinking heavily about what to do next, allow things to just flow and really enjoy the moment. to improvise means many things to many people. when i improvise i think about a feeling or story in my mind and convey it as best i can through the sounds you hear. thanks.

  • @nivsha I see, thank you for taking the time to reply. I shall take your advice to heart.

    Thanks so much for that!

    Yours,

    Volker
