Ron Paul is the classic example of the wrong kind of doctor. He's the doctor that just wants to make money and has little to no regard for people in need. The broken system we have made him filthy stincken rich, as well as his pals at the insurance office. If he was a real doctor he would be fighting for single payer, as single payer would give us more freedom and save billions of dollars. My uncle is a doctor (a well respected surgeon) and is gung ho single payer.

I had to get the shot for Swine Flu back in 1976, since I was in the military. Bad idea. I woke up at 3 in the morning shivering uncontrollably, went to the showers and made the water as hot as I could stand it. Wherever the stream of water didn't hit my body still felt like it was freezing, so I had to spin around like a rotisserie just to stay warm while I vomited. I'll never put that stuff in my body again.

Sorry but your information is inaccurate. There is no scientific correlation for miscarriages and the H1N1 vaccine. This is just fear mongering at its highest level.
That's because they haven't completed the study of H1N1 vaccines on pregnant women. The study is still going on right now and they haven't have the data to prove that the vaccine is save for pregnant women and children. It's even written on the bottle that they haven't tested these vaccines on pregnancy and children. There are very limited over the counter medicines that a pregnant woman can take, and yet we are encouraging pregnant women to take the vaccine that hasn't been tested on pregnancy?
And one more thing, I'm 11 weeks pregnant, and I found that's too much of coincident that all the women on that website had miscarriages after receiving the vaccines. Yes, they may not have the scientific data on that, but doctors aren't reporting all the miscarriages that maybe related to the vaccine either. As a pregnant mom myself, I have to be careful with whatever that I put to my body that has a chance to harming my baby.

Basically all the ingredients are the same in every flu vaccine, except the actual flu strain that they're targeting. The specific strains change each year, you know.
Anecdotal, in that we do not have enough data (yet) to make it statistically significant. With that being said, if I was pregnant and I heard, say 20 recent cases of miscarriage which occurred soon after an H1N1 shot, I'd rely on that "ANECDOTAL EVIDENCE" not to put my body and my child's body in harm's way for the "potential benefit" of the vaccine shot.

They did clinical trials to determine the dosage needed for this flu strain. They needed to know if it needed to be given in two dosages, and how it triggered the immune response in conjunction with the seasonal flu vaccine.

I have already explained to you that the H1N1 vaccine was not rushed anymore than the regular flu vaccine.
You seem to think it's necessary to reinvent the wheel every time a vaccine is made.
Are you not aware that the seasonal flu vaccine is changed every year?
The only differences in the flu vaccines every year is the specific flu strain that's being targeted. That's exactly what has been done with the H1N1 vaccine. We already know how to develop the vaccine. We just change the strains.
I really don't understand your arguments here. You seem to be claiming that the H1N1 virus isn't killing enough people to justify there being a vaccination for it.
Is life really that cheap to you?
Do you have issues with ALL vaccines, or just the H1N1? Do you suggest that people not take the seasonal flu vaccine, also?
There's absolutely no reason what-so-ever to justify someone dying from a disease that could have been prevented with a vaccination.

Ron Paul is the classic example of the wrong kind of doctor. He's the doctor that just wants to make money and has little to no regard for people in need. The broken system we have made him filthy stincken rich, as well as his pals at the insurance office. If he was a real doctor he would be fighting for single payer, as single payer would give us more freedom and save billions of dollars. I'm not a big fan of Ron Paul, but frankly I'm not seeing the same correlation you're making here. He is right though, swine flu isn't serious. People are just panicking because it's a pandemic. But herpes is a pandemic and you don't see anyone making even the smallest deal about it.

Swine Flu is less of a deal than regular flu. I've heard "it's dangerous because it's spread to more people than HIV" yeah and again so has Herpes. I'm not buying into the big conspiracy stuff. Honestly, I'm far more likely to chalk something up to the government joining in with mass hysteria and stupidity because they're only human.

I've seen people do really stupid things in response to a perceived threat. Things that have a worse effect than the perceived threat. The reasoning is "what? would you have us do nothing?"... Fact is, studies have shown that people in large numbers acting together have a much reduced capacity to think. "Everyone else is running away and screaming, so there must be a good reason for it."

I had to get the shot for Swine Flu back in 1976, since I was in the military. Bad idea. I woke up at 3 in the morning shivering uncontrollably, went to the showers and made the water as hot as I could stand it. Wherever the stream of water didn't hit my body still felt like it was freezing, so I had to spin around like a rotisserie just to stay warm while I vomited. I'll never put that stuff in my body again.

Thus ALL vaccines are contaminated with unknown viruses, DNA fragments, and cell debris. This has been well known for decades.

This is how the media affects our lives!!! The entire population in the US ( 304,059,724 - Jul 2008) will have the opportunity to get two doses of the H1N1 VACCINE!!! While other countries don't even have enough for their children! Please people stop over reacting and start being glad to live in this country. In my country Peru, only 7 million doses will be available for around 28 million people.

That's because they haven't completed the study of H1N1 vaccines on pregnant women. The study is still going on right now and they haven't have the data to prove that the vaccine is save for pregnant women and children. It's even written on the bottle that they haven't tested these vaccines on pregnancy and children. There are very limited over the counter medicines that a pregnant woman can take, and yet we are encouraging pregnant women to take the vaccine that hasn't been tested on pregnancy?

And one more thing, I'm 11 weeks pregnant, and I found that's too much of coincident that all the women on that website had miscarriages after receiving the vaccines. Yes, they may not have the scientific data on that, but doctors aren't reporting all the miscarriages that maybe related to the vaccine either. As a pregnant mom myself, I have to be careful with whatever that I put to my body that has a chance to harming my baby.

As I have said there is no scientific correlation. What that means is there is nothing in the flu vaccine to cause a miscarriage. Im sure if you checked all these women had eaten at a McDonalds within a few weeks of their miscarriage. So does MickeyDees put something in their food to cause a miscarriage? And if you checked further you would find many factors in common. On average there are close to a million miscarriages every year. I hope you have a wonderful and healthy baby.

all the women's "energy" is put into the baby and that hurts the women's imune system. So her natural defense system against germs is a lot weaker.

According to CNN, 36,000 people die every year in the United States from seasonal influenza. How many people died from the H1N1? World wide confirmed death toll from H1N1according to Wikipedia is 8,568!!! So justify for me the panic in rushing this vaccine to market, in prescribing it to (children) and pregnant women without it being fully tested?! Consider the potential benefit against the potential risk, and act accordingly. Life after all is a game of probabilities...

In the past 3 years the highest number of pediatric deaths from the seasonal flu was 88.
As of this writing we have had 198 pediatric deaths confirmed with H1N1. Just think how many more that would have been if there were no vaccine.

Anecdotal, in that we do not have enough data (yet) to make it statistically significant. With that being said, if I was pregnant and I heard, say 20 recent cases of miscarriage which occurred soon after an H1N1 shot, I'd rely on that "ANECDOTAL EVIDENCE" not to put my body and my child's body in harm's way for the "potential benefit" of the vaccine shot.
You say all of the ingredients are the same? Oh really Mr scientist? So why do they even bother doing clinical trials for the H1N1 vaccine?

While I'm not making light of miscarriages, I do have to point out that they are fairly common. Correlation does not imply causation. Post hoc ergo propter hoc fallacy.
Why don't you look up how vaccines are made?
They did clinical trials to determine the dosage needed for this flu strain. They needed to know if it needed to be given in two dosages, and how it triggered the immune response in conjunction with the seasonal flu vaccine.

However, personally I am a believer in maintaining a strong immune system by eating right and exercising. I haven't had the flu shot since I don't remember when, and I rarely get sick. I do understand that through advances in medicine the human life expectancy is longer now than any other point in history. The H1N1, thus far, is far from a "deadly pandemic"... So why the panic? why is this in the news 24/7?

A healthy diet and lifestyle do help in building a strong immune system, but they aren't a guarantee against getting sick.
Also, not everyone is capable of having a strong immune system, no matter how many fresh fruits and veggies they eat.
You are putting these people in danger by being a possible spreader of the flu.
What the news media does has nothing to do with science or medicine.
Media wanting to get their ratings up shouldn't influence someone to not get a vaccination.

The only differences in the flu vaccines every year is the specific flu strain that's being targeted. That's exactly what has been done with the H1N1 vaccine. We already know how to develop the vaccine. We just change the strains.
