In Genesis(1:26) the image of God that Adam and Eve are made in are more than 1 person, Genesis(3:22), Genesis(11:7) and Isaiah(6:8)? In each instance God says let us or who will go for us? Scripture clearly reveals a plurality in the nature of God, this is a revelation prior to the begotten sonship.

John (1:1) reveals that there is no eternal sonship, Jesus Christ the man has a beginning in time and space but the Word doesn't. Jesus was begotten but the Word was from eternity past prior to Jesus birth. Genesis (1:26) cannot include a created creature because in Genesis (1:27) mankind was made in the image of God making the persons in Genesis (1:26) God. Angels are created too so they also cannot be included.

The uninspired insertion of the word other 4 times in Colossians(1:16,17)is an alteration of those passages not a clarification as the brackets a said to do. @4thefaithful The prophets would prophesy based on visions from God. The translation of the Bible is not a gift of prophesy. When someone is looking for the sign of the end of the times as Jesus spoke of they are using the Bible and not a vision given to them by God. Several occassions they were incorrect, but they did pick 1914 as a pivotal year and it is the year of the first World war. And Great earthquakes are a common occurrence these days.
The WT says that Satan was cast out of heaven to the Earth in October of 1914 meaning "woe for the earth". If that is when it happened, then why did World War 1 begin months earlier in June of 1914?

Well said. The JW's (unlike the Mormons) don't spend a lot of time on actual research. This could be because the Mormon's have so dismally refuted their own teachings through research or perhaps because they simply don't care.
Either way, trying to have a meaningful debate with a people so unknowledgeable of their own faith is nearly impossible.

IMO. A far more realistic explanation would acknowledging that the JW organization(headquarters and members) is made-up of imperfect human beings. Therefore... it is not immune to wrongdoers and the bi-products of human imperfection.

@ewatchmandotcom, What do you do with the many occurrances of the royal us throughout the old testament? Whenever God speaks in the first person about doing something it is always in the plural. In Genesis(1:26) the image of God that Adam and Eve are made in are more than 1 person, Genesis(3:22), Genesis(11:7) and Isaiah(6:8)? In each instance God says let us or who will go for us? Scripture clearly reveals a plurality in the nature of God, this is a revelation prior to the begotten sonship.

John (1:1) reveals that there is no eternal sonship, Jesus Christ the man has a beginning in time and space but the Word doesn't. Jesus was begotten but the Word was from eternity past prior to Jesus birth. Genesis (1:26) cannot include a created creature because in Genesis (1:27) mankind was made in the image of God making the persons in Genesis (1:26) God. Angels are created too so they also cannot be included.

Jesus Christ the man has a beginning in time and space the Bible gives no beginning for the Word, the Word became flesh and dwelt among us. Jesus is 100% human and the son of God nowhere is the Word a son. The sonship begins with the incarnation and doesn't exist prior to it. Tell me this, if there were an eternal sonship why is their no concept of it in classical Hebrew beliefs?

The uninspired insertion of the word other 4 times in Colossians(1:16,17)is an alteration of those passages not a clarification as the brackets a said to do. Russell taught that 1914 was the date for Armageddon not for the second coming! The concept of an invisibe return cannot be supported by the Bible and was given birth by Ellen G. @4thefaithful The prophets would prophesy based on visions from God. The translation of the Bible is not a gift of prophesy. When someone is looking for the sign of the end of the times as Jesus spoke of they are using the Bible and not a vision given to them by God. Several occassions they were incorrect, but they did pick 1914 as a pivotal year and it is the year of the first World war. And Great earthquakes are a common occurrence these days.

Well said. The JW's (unlike the Mormons) don't spend a lot of time on actual research. This could be because the Mormon's have so dismally refuted their own teachings through research or perhaps because they simply don't care.
Either way, trying to have a meaningful debate with a people so unknowledgeable of their own faith is nearly impossible.
I suggest a different approach. Perhaps a positive approach appealing to the emotions (the means the JW's use) might be more effective.

IMO. A far more realistic explanation would acknowledging that the JW organization(headquarters and members) is made-up of imperfect human beings. Therefore... it is not immune to wrongdoers and the bi-products of human imperfection.
Having said that... faith is not really the issue here is it? I doubt it because the issue deals with individual human behaviors. Whatever the case, this is the type of statistic with absolutely means to measure.
