  • i used to skate a bit when i was about 15, now i'm 21 and i've started again and luckily i remembered how to ollie. i still screw it up quite a bit but i'm so glad i used to skate, otherwise i'd be at the level this guy is at. (no offence) i went through these stages when i was younger thank the lord!! feel like i've gotten a head start

  • suck your knees up!

  • suck your knees up!

  • i think your sliding your front foot to early

  • maybe its juz ur bord ... try to change ur bord.. hehehehe

  • try practicing on grass and try popping the back tail higher and as your popping bring that back foot up in the air and try putting your left foot in the middle of the board and dont forget to keep your back straight while your popping the back tail and if that doesn't work than I dont know look at some skate videos or something. PEACE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Dude thats awsome! i'm from turkey 21 years old, Skating since 2005.Sorry for my bad english..i hope u understnd Pull your Legs More than you pop.Watch my ollie videos and other ollies too. They are always Pulling their legs higher and higher. If you can pull ur legs higher and Slide your front foot more straight, you can do it.

    watch?v=7u3CyVgsjG4

That's me Watch my legs.Well And Back foot more important than front food. cuz back foot shows ur ollie higher thats a trick for show higher :D

  • thank you

  • Hey can any1 help me if im right footed should i slide the board up with my left foot or right foot?

  • I'm not sure but I ride regular so

I slide with my left foot but my daughter is also right handed but she likes to ride goofy so she is learning to slide with her right foot. I think its just preference

  • dont twist your shoulders when you go down just keep them lined up with your board and ollies take time to get they took me about a month and a week but i can 3 flip now

  • I reckon you could get really good but ur not getting enough hight, this is mainly beacuse ur not bending ur knees, ur leaning forwards which will also make it harder for you to level out your board, anywayz hope u master it we're all chearing for u :D

  • when u jum try to bring ur knees up a bit higher my olliues are beast there like 1 foot high and a little so yeah try that an ull definatel get it

  • it took me so long to learn how to ollie. about 2 months. but once you get it down it gets easier. once you get it stationary, do it while moving, it is easier

  • I've been practicing for about 2 months but only a few days a week for about an hour

  • yeah bro, i live in the hill country of texas so there are not many places to go skate. we only have 1 curch in the whole town that lets us skate there. it kinda sucks but when we decide to go skate we go with about 7 people and its an all day thing, skate then go cliff jumping at the lake. you can always make the most out of your situation. that and everyone out here is a total pot head. lol

  • try to jump higher when u ollie. i've been skating for 6 years and now im 13

  • I'm in the process of trying to learn the ollie as well. One thing that helped me was to keep my back foot a little "heavy" and always in contact with the board. Felt like I had more control of my landing...

  • I'm learning the ollie and my issue is that the board land behind my feet, so my feet end landing in the floor, with the board back.

    Any tip?

Thanks, and keep skating man ;) !!

  • Is the board turning when you ollie? I had that problem before and my feet would land on the floor and not on the board. You might want to try centering the front of your front foot on the board with your heel hanging off that way its less likely to pull your board to the left. Goodluck!

  • I'll try it !

Im getting better ones now, that I'm poping harder!

  • keep trying man, and have fun

  • it looks like your doing everything right except you dont seem to be jumping. try jumping with ur back foot as high as u can next time. there are some good videos on her showing you how to ollie they helped me alot. check them out.

  • dude try holding onto something like a rail trust me it will help u get the form down

  • hey dude, I just started skateboarding 4 days ago and I can't get height on my ollies either...Also everytime I try on concrete the board slides away (towards the foot on the tail: I ride goofy) any suggestions and your getting a lot better, and so is your girl. Keep it up.

  • I really haven't been concentrating on sliding my foot and I'm sure thats what i need to 2 do!

  • sometimes when your not really comfortable it actualy is better when your comfortable, that was for me when i was learning the kickflip but...idk try things out

another tip is to not concentrate too much cuz ur all thinking about this and this, just go for it and also slide up and out not down then lift ur back foot up to the level of where ur front foot is

  • push around alot more! dont worry about ollies all the time.

ride your board around town... skate to the store and get some water. maybe (if you have the money) build yourself a cruiser.

getting comfortable on your board is the most important thing in skateboarding. KEEP IT UP!

  • I agree with you. I ride my skateboard alot now. I am in college and I ride my board between classes. I'm on my skateboard everyday now cuz I love riding it. I'm working on my next series which is learning to pop shove it and manuals etc.

  • awesome, man!

also... do some of those reverts, where you use your back foot to make yourself turn 180 into switch, then back again.

    MASTER YOUR BOARD!

but most of all, and hopefully you already know this... have fun

you dont need a bag full of tricks and the coolest new parts to enjoy skating. just do what you want. see that hill? go bomb it. that barrier over there? see if you can wall ride it. get creative! you can do so much just knowing how to push and revert.

  • you'll have to bring your back foot up higher too, the back of the board can't come up any higher than the bottom of your foot, no matter how much you slide the front foot

  • I've been working on that but even when I do bring my back foot up the tail isn't coming up because I havn't gotten the sliding of my foot yet very well.
