does the little "lever" at the top that when you pull it it makes it fall apart get annoying at all? Like, it your neck? I'm planning on buying this...
dude no lie...my buddy has that exact vest and it saved his life not to long ago....good products aint cheap and cheap products aint good.....great purchase...ill be buying one soon enough
@voodooTHEpreacher No such thing as a surplus eagle industries vest. You got a fake knock off thats why you can put it together so fast. It wouldn't hold up in real combat. Fake vest don't act the same as real vest. thats why they are surplus. these little airsoft kids have no idea what they are talking about.
I got myself a MARCIRAS color MJK with manufacture year date 2010.
Seems like they changed a lot from earlier models. Like the molle straps. On this newer version they are all shiny almost green in color and much thinner. I think they where alot better before, when they were more tan in color and much thicker!

When You string the release cable it should be even flow. I'm trying to think of how to write this properly. If You have it where it goes over Your left shoulder, the cable travels down Your back to the release point, the end should continue to the right side. Vice versa if You have it over Your right shoulder. The reason is tension and You'd not want it to get bound up if looped the other way. I have one, they are awesome.
Nice rig, man! I have always liked the design of the EI CIRAS. Yes, indeed, Eagle makes great gear. I have been using one of Eagle's A-III packs for school and it has never let me down, but then again, it's meant for harsher punishment than school, LOL. You mentioned something about pouches. There's a company called usgruntgear that makes very nice pouches as well as other types of tac gear. He can also make nearly anything you want. Once I get my 1911, I plan to buy some pistol pouches.
Haven't been able to actually listen to the vid (I'm at work, lol) but is there a reason you put your mag pouches on the right side of the vest? Are you left handed? If not, it'd probably be easier to reach your mags if you put them on the left side of your vest. If you're going to be running pistol mags on your vest, too, then I guess that placement is alright, though I would consider running pistol mags on the far left (hip) with rifle mags on your left front.
@numpsy23 Ya sometimes ya gotta spend the money to get the good stuff. There is way to many cheap vests out there aimed for the airsoft market. so those of us who want a real qualty vest have to pay for it. Ya ive currently been lookin for a vest myself
I attended a DEA civilian academy ( mainly just propaganda and elbow rubbing ) where they let us put on their vests after we completed the course. Their vests are sweet and I've been trying to find one but after seeing this one I might eventually go with it. Eagle makes top notch gear!
If you get some time can you send me a pm letting me know what you think the positives and negatives of this vest are.
Eagle industries has this listed at 600 dollars.
