The vox VT50 beats marshall solid state hands down for versatility, from AC30 type jangle to shred I love my vox. Had it about 4 weeks and am endlessly dicovering new tones, they are dirt cheap for what they deliver.
50 watts isn't half as loud as 100 watts. In fact, you'd be hard pressed to hear a difference unless you had both amps cranked. Even still the difference in volume would be slight.
I love this amp model on the vox. I used it for my last video trying to play a paul gilbert track. Its really versatile.
Anyone looking for a bedroom amp can do no better than getting one of these. Unfortunatly I've had to sell mine to get a more powerful amp for gigging.
The 2x12-- you're bypassing the tube..I'm glad I could hear it liek this, I;ve been afraid to do that because I thought the tube makes a difference...but it still sounds great!

Since they are hybrid, it would be like playing a 60-65 wat amp even though it is 50 wat

Stock pickups yes. I am using an external cab on this clip. An Avatar cab, 2x12, closed back. Makes a better tone for sure.

Stock '51 pickups, right?? I have 3 but I've swapped the pickups in all of them. The 51s have gotten VERY scarce all of a sudden.
