I would agree with this more if most educators in the U.S. public schools weren't giant children themselves. Parent's need a choice in the schools their children can attend before this criticism can be relevant. Once a parent is able to select his/her child's educator and establish trust in their Judgment, the parent will be far more likely to take the educator's word over the child's.

But if you speak to the driver or other kids, then you'd hear different story; the problem was caused by the 'bad' child, and when the bus driver tried to get the kid to sit down/be quiet, etc., and the child started freaking out all over the driver. So what Bob is saying here is so true!

Kids kids are given too many choices now. I don't care what they think or want, when I was a kid I had to do what I was told. Kids today boss the grown ups around, they want their choice of music in the car, they want to go where they want every day. They believe they are everything and you should cater to them, I hate kids aged between 2 and 7 the most. Teachers should be given back the right to wack them with rulers again, teach the little brats some manners and boundaries!
