  • nice 3rd gear chirp

  • @MrBisk13it thanks!

  • what mods did u have in this video??

  • @soydcameroncountry accufab upper plenun, JLT intake, pypes O/R xpipe, borla catback, custom tune, tri-ax shifter and Nitto drag radials

  • when shifting into 3rd and 4th i hear a squeaking noise, kind of like the clutch cable is stretching or binding. going into 4th right at the end, when it makes the noise, makes the speedometer hover around 100 in the same spot for a second and it kind of kicks in and gains. could the cable be holding me back?

  • hey man i have a question. my best time is a 13.7 at 99.8, with a 1.9 60 ft. i can never trap over 100 mph but get under 14 seconds a lot of the time. any idea why i'm not trapping over 100? i have stock gears, catted x pipe, flowmaster weld-ins, 75mm throttle body, c&l plenum, k&n drop-in, silencer removed and i take my headlight out at the track. my first couple times i hit 100 and 101 a few times, but the past bunch of times i havent gotten over 100 trap.

  • @MrEvanjp put your silencer back in. i had a 02 gt auto and took the silencer out and it droped mph as well as et.. or just go with the JLT true cold air.

  • I would love to see what this car would do with some 4.10's and a pair of slicks.

  • nice run man getting close to the 12s!

  • nice job.. i have 99 GT to pull 13.3@103mph. what rpm are you launching at? i launch around 4gs and find that it will pop out then bog for a split second... 1.85s 60's.

  • @spraggerm I think I was dumping the clutch at 5k or 5.5k. A hundred RPM or so was the only difference between bogging and spinning the tires, it was touchy with the Nitto DRs. I think I was heating them up too much though.

  • @ShaggyGT i have m/T drag radials and they hook up nice.. just worried if i dump the clutch 5gs or so i will break something in the drive line ..

  • @spraggerm you are correct, that is a very real possibility. I wanted 12s so badly that day that I decided I didn't care if I broke something in the process...i was lucky not to have done so!

  • @ShaggyGT sweet stang though.. there is a vid of me in my fav's .. check it out just a quick burnout i will post some soon..

  • Great Job! I hope I can get my full bolt on 02 GT to pull low 13's or high 12's. Do you have any suspension mods?

  • @67mustang97 Thanks. Only suspension mods were Steeda springs, which more than likely weren't helping my weight transfer.

  • @ShaggyGT That really is a great time I hope I can hit low 13's when I head to the track on the 29th. So far my best is a 13.73 @ 101.

  • nice run man. i ran a 13.3 @ 105 with a 2.0 60 at atco last fall. where u from?

  • Good job dude

  • Thanks!

  • what i really need to do is get a stall... i have an auto with no stall. Why do i even race without one?

  • thats really good man. I have a 2000 bolt-on gt and i couldnt get better than a 2.1 60ft on drag radials. I also have 4.10 gears. I go 13.9 @ 98....

  • Make sure the pressure is around 15-18psi, get a good burnout (but not TOO big, or the rubber will generate surface oils which degrade traction), and practice which launch RPM will cause a dead hook like in this video (not screeching the tires, but not bogging the motor when you drop the clutch).

  • 2.1? hrmm I got a 2.09 with regular tires. Maybe your not launching hard enough.

  • My best 60' that day with these tires was a 1.89. It was simple; if I hooked I got a 1.9, if I spun I got a 2.1.

  • man awesome driving! so you just have intake lt headers, exhaust, and (dyno)tuned?

i'm hoping for a 13.1 or 13 flat in my 2001 bullitt na before i bolt on the vortech in my garage. i've got lt headers, intake tune(mail order), tko 500, built rear with 3.90s, controll arms, and 15" mt drs on weld prostars. i might have to shed weight to run a 13.1 but it will happen. and who knows with the blower.

  • When this video was taken, I had an offroad x-pipe, catback, cold-air intake, accufab upper intake plenum, shifter, and a custom tune. No headers (installed headers with a catted x-pipe 3 months later). What really helped my ETs were my drag radials. They were Nittos at around 15psi. They dropped my 60' times from 2.0 to 1.8, which equates to more than a .2 drop from my ET (at least that's the rule of thumb). I think with your mods you could hit 12s with good driving and low elevation.
