  • where can i buy that tappet tool adjuster?

  • @totalutternutter Hello You only need a 9mm ring spanner and a long nose pliers to do them, we stock the tool on our main site under the tool section.

  • @ooracingtube i've got the yx 160 9mm & 3mm when will it be back in stock?

  • Hello. does anyone know if a leaky valve cover would create a vauum leak on the yx160? mine leaks a small amount of oil when hot from the exhaust valve cover under the motor and the motor isnt running properly

  • @bikerboi85 No it won't cause a running problem, would advise fitting a new oring to stop the leak.

  • Hello

The same as video .10 in .15 exhaust

  • hi would you know the clearences for a yx 160 with 63mm piston thanks

  • Very helpful

  • Hello

The cam runs at half engine speed so 360 degrees from fireing stroke its on the rocking strock where there will no clearnce.

So thats ok what you are seeing.

  • So you adjust at TDC on the combustion stroke, if you then rotate 360 deg so you are at TDC again should the valves have the same clearance as before or should they be tight with no clearance? This is what is happening with my engine and I daren't start it because I'm not sure if this is right. if I rotate 360 again back to combustion stroke then the clearances are right again.

  • Very helpful how to video.

  • I did my valve adjustment TDC .003 intake .004 exhaust what they told me and my exhaust valve start knocking when warm might be knocking or clattering?

  • @tub88vang

Hello ok have you set them in thou or MM?

  • @ooracingtube it is set in thou when I first got it did valve check before I started the bike everything was in spec than after break-in and about another 10 hours I adjust the valve clarence it made a little ticking noise only from the exhaust change the spark plug still the same then change the exhaust to .003 instead of .004 now its a little more quiet test it out seems okay I just hand tight the locknut on the rockers dont know the torque spec on it.

  • @ooracingtube does it matter mm i did mine

  • In MM it will be 3 times to big.

  • @tub88vang yes i have the same thing

  • hello bro!!! how fast my 110cc motor...

  • that would be a feeler gauge, sets can be purchased from any auto shop :)

make sure you use the right sizes though

  • tappet tool there all over ebay

  • yes cause at tdc both are closed and you are adusting the gap when closed

  • Thanks man, My klx 110 was knocking its knickers off but didn't know the clearances just set em & now purring like a little pussy, tune of two brothers m-6 purr. sweet :)

  • Nice video mate, do you adjust the exhaust valve at the same position TDC as the inlet?

  • the exhaust side should be set slightly more than the inlet to allow for heat, this video allows a bit more clearance the exhaust side as they race
